  Ornlputs a hold on your tax checks that come in and your stimulus checks. It is so horrible when people need thier money and Morristown office could care less I'm 58 yrs old on disability and need every dime I need my checks they being ornl Morristown was unconcerned and just sD to bad it a process I'm tell you not to use this bank. Where I've done business customers service is very thing. My tax check that is electronic deposited is good it should be credited as soon as its in I'm very mad at this bank

  Hey Bonnie, we hate that you have had to wait to receive your deposit. As a credit union, we do not purposefully hold onto funds, the funds are sent to us from the IRS and they provide the date in which the funds will be deposited. Prior to deposit, it may show up in your pending deposits showing that it is getting ready to be deposited.   Mailed a check to this Credit Union for a loan payment using major Bank online bill pay service. Received phone calls saying payment not made. Called in, was told they did not receive the check, called major bank, they said and I could see online, the check was sent and not deposited by Credit Union, unknown if they received. After multiple phone calls the Credit Union instructed me to stop the payment on the missing in the mail check, as they couldn’t possibly have taken that long to deposit a check. I did so, and made a debit card payment over the phone as well. About 4-5 days later the credit union attempted to deposit the check, however there was a stop payment. A week after that according to time stamps and dates on letters the credit union mails me a notice saying I am being charged $35 for a stop payment check. Haha! After two days and 5 phone calls it is relayed to me that I am being extended a courtesy and ORNL Federal Credit Union is refunding the $35 stop payment fee. Im sure nice and good people work here, but I suggest doing business elsewhere. They obviously do not understand customer service, and nobody bothered to notate my account to prevent all of this. They’re operating in 2019 like its 1950.

  I would not recommend this bank to anyone. 5 hour hold time tonight just to be told sorry systems down we cant help you. Your system is as always down.
