Orlando Credit Union - Millenia Reviews

David Givens1This is a New Review as of 6/5/22 Can this Bank get any worse ? Looking at refinancing a 2019 to lower monthly payment pay off 18K, Value 30K Score 720 plus, asked for 20K to cover gap and all. Declined, no problem but the Loan Lady never called to state what the status was after a day or so after applying, I had to call them, This must be how Banking is being done now with humans. Management at the JYP office has changed easily 10 times in 10 years if not more, 24 hr drop box doesn't get checked daily, move money from another bank to this one it's by reg mail only for some reason and checks to them have been lost in the past. I guess they are trying, Online Banking and financial services are getting cheaper and have the ability to accommodate customers in a very productive manner without all the lack of get things done, All OFCU employees there is a Bot waiting to replace you. Ps, BOA was able to assist with this matter, I was under the impression that CU are a Community Bank and do more with the local people more so than National Banks. So far this is not the case with Inflation in 2022.

Natasha Morris1Please do not bank here. They will hold let transactions go though before deposit if they are on the same day just so they can charge a courtesy pay fee of $32. They will hold deposit until they open. Worst credit union ever. Look at the reviews. I have been with them over 8 years and the services are getting worst. I’ll be taking my money to navy federal credit Union

Shalldine Hyppolite2Shonda is great and she knows how to treat others but other than that there’s the manager inside she is very rude and doesn’t like helping people. She is always irritating and rushing you out ,I am here with my money not begging you for anything. The customers services start with you ,of you can’t comply how you expect your employees to do the same.
Response from the ownerThank you for providing your feedback, Shalldine. We are happy to hear that Shonda is taking great care of you and disappointed to hear that is not your experience with everyone in the branch. If you would like to discuss further, please reach out to the Care Team at 407.835.3500 to provide additional details. Best Regard, The Care Team

Abraham Mathew1Absolute Crooks. Opened an account, asked all the detailed question when I opened the Checking and HELOC accounts since I worked in banks for years before. Surprise Surprise, a bunch of nonsense fees eating away at my balance (paper statement fee, etc etc). Can't even get a hold of them since today I called at 12 pm and I get a message the office is closed when they advertise that it is open until 1 pm) What kind of nonsense service are these people trying to pull. I will be cancelling all my accounts and will not refer any friends or family over to them.
Response from the ownerThank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about this issue, Abraham. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. Please get in touch with us on 407.835.3500 and we'd be happy to help. Orlando Credit Union - The Care Team

S M5What makes this bank so great is the people who work there. I have never had a bad experience in all the years I have conducted business there. I am always treated more than professional, I am treated like family. It is very nice that you are remembered by name. I recently conducted business and was assisted above and beyond my expectations.
Response from the ownerThank you so much for taking time to provide feedback, S M. We're delighted to hear that you have had a great experience in dealing with team members over the years. Cheers, Orlando Credit Union - Millenia

Gelinda Pope1I just recently joined this bank and it has been the worst experience ever!!! I usually do not use banks, I prefer using Amscot or Ace, but I decided to open an account for my son. My first agent Omar was great and straight forward. The second agent I got was ill prepared apparently. The system failed completely. They cashed my check against my account, which caused my account to reflect a negative amount, and then they didn't tell me about the 9 day hold on checks for new accounts. Then they couldn't find my son's account after they transferred his money. As soon as his checks clear, I am closing this account!!! DO NOT BANK HERE!!!!!
Response from the ownerThank you for providing your feedback, Gelinda. We are happy to hear that your experience with Omar was great. We are sorry to hear that your new account opening has been bumpy. Please get in touch with us on (407) 835-3500 and we'd be happy to help you out. Cheers, Orlando Credit Union - Millenia

Mar Ros1My husband made a deposit on Friday to pay ahead his car, and the teller did the deposit on the wrong account beside he held my personal check for 5 days. I called today and no manager is working to release my check hold what type of credit union is this. After many calls to member service, they transfer me to collections, and I spoke with Feliz who offers to make the transfer on Tuesday after my check is going to clear that will delayed my car loan payment. What a mess. Honestly, I have other loans and others credit unions, and this issues solve them immediately . OMG I did no receive any solution today while Orlando credit union is charging me interest daily for my car payment. I know that credit union said that you have grace period, but this is no truth because I used to work in the credit union environment before and all credit unions work like that. The worst experience I have ever had what poor customer service care. Orlando Federal Credit Union is working just for their interest and not for the member as they mention.
Response from the ownerThank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about this issue, Mar. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry you experienced frustration when trying to pay your loan payment. Please get in touch with the Care Team at (407) 835-3500 and we'd be happy to help you out. Best, The Care Team

M Gabriel1****DO NOT OPEN HERE**** The lack of professionalism here is alarming. The day I open the checking account I was told to stop texting on my phone, I told the lady I was talking to my husband about something important. #Rude Then I go to make a deposit of a money order on a Friday before cut off date and they put a hold on the money order for 7 business days. A MONEY ORDER FROM USPS suppose to be cleared within 1 business day per the Federal law. Also the teller never mentioned there would be a hold for 7 business days. When you call they are extremely rude. Once the money order clears. I will remove my money and stick with my current bank which is Suntrust Bank . This was a BIG mistake
Response from the ownerThank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about this issue, M. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear about your experience with us. Please get in touch with us on (407) 835-3500. We'd be happy to help you out. The Care Team

Dan McDonald1Finally free of this place. Closed my account today after years of watching this place get worse each passing month. Examples- 1- if you try disputing a charge, forget it. I tried 3 times in like 10 years. I tried contacting the charging company first with no luck. Called OFCU and they said they won't do anything until I talked to the company, even if I couldn't get through. 3- The chip in the cards are really bad, must be poor quality from the maker. At stores I kept having problems, went into a branch and they want to charge for a new one. 4- Tried getting ahold if a higher up, wouldn't get anywhere. As soon as I made a bad remark on a website they then reached out to me. 5- if you call you will be waiting. They say "higher than normal wait times" but that is their normal wait time. 6- They actually closed the location near me, not sure but it seems they close more locations than open. 7- Not too many staff members when you walk in to help. To close my account today, as an example, they didn't have any office rooms available, they were calling people up to window 3. 8- They used to participate in sharing with other credit unions, don't think they do that no more. At least with Jacksonville Credit. 9- Used to have a no fee program with several locations, like 7-Eleven. Now they don't and you get charged everywhere. 10- Fees are ridiculous. My opinion of course. 11- Staff, from my experiences, are rude, just their first the buck, and slow moving. I could keep going on but you get the point. These are my opinions from my personal observations and experiences. If you are thinking of this place, I would say don't!

We tried to reach out to you to see how we could help. We would love to have the opportunity to better understand some of your comments. Estelanie ALEXANDRE, MSW1This is worse place ever. I am thinking about taking my money and move it to another bank that appreciates their customers. I don't know how many times I went in and call to have these people merge all of my accounts together so I can see them online without signing to each individual accts bit every it "oh it's fix" bit never get fixed. I'm so tired of this bank and even if they don't have ppl waiting, you will die b4 they call you. I hate this place. Every time, they replaced an employee, it seems as though they get worse instead of better. By the way, the last time I went to open a kid acct. I know you have to have a minimum of $200 in order to gain interest but I had forgot about the $5 share so when the lady handed me the receipt, I noticed it says $195 and told her I need to put $5 more so I can get the interest although it's not a lot. Anyways, she responded, "oh no, you don't need a minimum balance" and told yes, you do. So I pulled my phone to go on the website to show her before I could find it, she went to check and said yes you are. Dumb asses. BE CAREFULL WHERE YOU PUT YOUR MONEY THAT IS ALL I CAN SAY! !!!
