Orion Federal Credit Union Reviews

Tavich Gerst2If you are looking for an auto loan and want to get it that day this is not the place for you. It has been 3 days and going. The only way to contact the loan officer is by email, you can’t call or meet in person. I went a whole day without hearing anything from the loan officer Chanell. Sending emails is the only form of communication and it is very frustrating. A 680 credit score with apr of 7.5% for 48 months is not worth the hassle and days of waiting when there are other credit unions and banks that you would be able to get financed same day with the exact same or better apr. Not to mention every time you call the phones they are always “busy” and there’s always a wait of 20 min. They need to get it together. They’re lucky I gave them 2 stars, but the people who answered the phones with zero knowledge of the financing situation were very polite. Btw I’m sitting in the parking lot because I gave them all the information they needed so I was waiting for a phone call, told I have to create an account with them, but I can’t go in I have to do it by email. Someone other than the loan officer has to approve the bank that it was me to be able to get an account now I’m just waiting on the email. It’s 3pm they close at 4:30pm and its Friday and they are closed on Saturday. I would never recommend this bank to a soul.

Hilda Brown1There is no orien bank near my home. If I use my atm card the atm machines charge me $5.00 each time. It might not seem like lot of money 💰. They need more than one bank in in central Arkansas. I’m giving away to much of my money at atm machine.

amit b1Worst bank ever, people on the phone are rude and put you on the hold forever and when they get back to you after long hold, they simply hang up the phone. After more than 4 times I decided to write this review. I will be closing the my account in month of April. They charge so much on fees. If you opened the account thinking you will earn high interest rate you are wrong. Once I opened the account, next month I rcvd mail stating that my rate has dropped, also my limit had drop month after, from 8 transaction on debit card also changes too. WASTE OF TIME BANK..

Chris Owen2Things are WAY more complicated than they were when it was AEFCU! A lot of the personal touch is gone now. You can't even call you're local branch now to ask a question. I had a question about my debit card and I had to go through the mess of dealing with automation and when i finally got someone in the jaim office somewhere, he tells me the local branch doesn't even have an outside line tti receive calls. He supposedly sent an email to the local branch, but of course I got no reply from anybody. I'm not impressed with the Orion experience.
Response from the ownerChris, we're sorry to hear this. If you can share more details with us at [email protected], we would like to understand your experience so we can respond to better serve you.

Zandalisa Hunter1I'm having the worse time simply trying to get someone to call me back. The customer service in the loan department is non-existent. Their ATM is outdated. You have to follow-up when you make a night deposit just to make sure they give you credit for your deposit. This is sad we have to work with this as an option for a Credit Union! They need to hire people who really care about providing customer service, rather than counting the days until they retire.

Gerrita Williams2When I first became a member of this credit union, my coworkers and friends told me about all of the great benefits that came with being a member. Well, all I can say is I guess all of the people that used to be helpful must have retired because every time I have inquired about anything account related, obtaining a personal loan, auto financing, etc., I have been given the run around. I have been a member for years, and the past two years have been by far the worse!!! I don't know what's in store for this credit union, but I do hope they get it together soon.

J P1I cannot recommend this service. It's a relatively small entity, and is incapable of providing the needs of a large array of people from various economic backgrounds. Banking services are slightly better than loan services. I cannot give a lot of info on staff friendliness, etc. due to little experience with staff. But I can say the failure of this business is rooted in its poor management. I would give 0 out of 5 stars, but this rating and review system does not have that function. So I have to provide 1 star. Just avoid the place if you can.

Jessica Pruett1If I could give ZERO stars I would. Customer Service is awful, 45 minutes holding to talk to a human is ridiculous. Then it is not even a local person. Got a replacement ATM Card, at local branch, they put the wrong expiration date on it, card kept declining. Took THREE more calls to get it fixed and was just a huge headache.

Casandra Hannah5I have not been a customer for very long, but, I would recommend this credit union to anyone I know. A checking account interest rate of 4.00 percent is hard to find nowadays. Keep it going Orion.
Response from the ownerThanks Casandra!
