Been a member with onpoint for 6 years and this has always been my nearest branch, my last visit I didn't feel very welcomed as the teller was wanting to chat with her friend more and just hurried through the interaction. I'll still rate 3 stars because I've had tons of of good experiences from good people. Just not today

      Response from the owner

Feliciano, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your recent experience didn't meet expectations. We'll share your concerns with our team. We appreciate your membership and look forward to seeing you again soon. Sincerely, -OnPoint

I recently moved to this credit union from a bank with sub-standard customer service at the branch I was using. I cannot say enough about how nice these people are. They were SO quick and eager to get everything just right for me. My son and daughter-in-law raved about this place and referred me there...and they were absolutely right...it is a great credit union!!! Just go and talk with them about what they have to offer and you will see what I mean.

      Response from the owner

Helen, Thanks for your kind words and the ongoing support from you and your family. We greatly appreciate your taking the time to leave us your review! Welcome to OnPoint! Let us know if we can help you with anything else. Best, -OnPoint

I was one of the disabled individuals standing in line today to receive the $500 relief funds (I had been in line since before the branch even opened). After 5 hours in line the manager of the branch came out and told everyone in line that they were out of funds and they would not be taking any more walk ins. It was stated that "they didn't think it was right to make us sit and wait in line when there was no money coming". Immediately after most of us had left (including myself) they told the people still standing around that they in fact do have extra funds and started allowing walk ins again. A group of my neighbors that had been far behind me in line had stuck around and all of them received the $500. Before I walked away I asked the manager 3 questions. 1. Are we still able to apply? His answer was "no". 2. Are we able to apply for an appointment? His answer was "no. The funds are gone". 3. Will there be another opportunity for this help in the future? He responded that he had no way of knowing that right now. And then to find out that the neighbors who had been quite a way behind me in line received help that I was refused is heart wrenching. I will be personally contacting the manager to let him know how his misrepresentation of the situation has impacted my family and our ability to keep our heads above water for just a little longer. The manager lied straight to our faces to get us to leave then handed the money out to whoever was left.

      Response from the owner

Alexia, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand that this is a difficult time and we apologize for the inconvenience. In all instances, our team was providing the information that they had at the time. Our management team relayed the information that they were given based on the state's guidelines. When that information changed, we again did our part to help distribute the emergency funds. If more funds become available, we will be here to help our community once again. Sincerely, -OnPoint

The ATMs are painfully slow. Depositing cash is a nightmare. also 99% of the time when I try to use the cash deposit function on the ATM it says it's not available at this time. Many times I've had to drive down to cedar hills, which I imagine, is a much busier location but their machines are always maintained and ready to accept cash. Very frustrating. If you go inside the lines are always very long and slow moving

      Response from the owner

Very inconsistent with the information they give you, such as changing your name with legal documentation that you’re married… If you use the coin machine at this location you cannot cash in at a Fred Meyers location(same bank) I’m new to Oregon, the last credit union I belonged to was in another state, I was with them for over 25 years and they exceeded my expectations

      Response from the owner

Teresa, Thank you for sharing your experience. Please let us know if we can share any additional details about our services. Sincerely, -OnPoint

Received absolutely horrible service from Jocelyn Garcia-Gonzales today. This was the first time coming to this branch to drop off my stores cash deposits. At every other branch, I can hand them the poly bag and leave. Jocelyn refused to take the bags in the drive through and made me come inside to count the money in front of me. I normally drop off in the night drop box so this makes no sense. When I asked why this was necessary she mentioned that I would be taking time away from other customers by making them count the money? When either way the money would be counted. Either way she was incredibly rude and the trip was a complete inconvenience considering I was in a rush to be somewhere. On point is great but this specific branch needs an attitude adjustment and I'll be taking my money to other branches from now on.

      Response from the owner

Hi Ian, please enter your contact information here: https://www.onpointcu.com/contact-us.html so that we can follow up with you. Thank you! Sincerely, OnPoint Community Credit Union

This is one of the worst banking experiences i have ever had. I had just spoke to a member services rep on the phone the day prior about closing my account and PGE charging my closed account resulting in a overdraft. He noted that sometimes PGE will continue to try to charge your account which can result in an overdraft. He kindly waived the charge as i was in the process of closing my account. He told me to check on my account a few days later as they have the tendency to try and charge you a second time and they would waive that charge as well. Sure enough PGE did it again and i immediately called them to complain they said there system was automatic and they would not charge me again in the future. Come to today i am sitting in the Cornell branch to close my account face to face which i arranged a few days days earlier. The bank employee Josie Ruiz in a condescending tones tells me tell me once again i must pay $30 even after i just spoke to the gentleman on the phone. I politely plead my case to no avail. She then proceeds to lecture me on how i was supposed to have filled out some document to stop payment yet no one told me anything about any such document. The worker was rude and confrontational and eventually resulted in me needing to speak to the manager Sandy Kurkowski. She quickly agreed to waive the fee but not after all my time was wasted. I suggest you think long and hard about OnPoint. They have messed up many times in my many years to include my atm cards, long in bank / phone wait times, credit cards, and deposits . Shop around there are many better CU options that treat you like you matter.

have you'll noticed how so many service businesses ( banks especially ) are using covid as a excuse for rudeness and deterioation of service. Helpful service has been discarded to be replaced with rudeness. Have encountered the same at my other bank U.S. Bank

      Response from the owner

Byculla, Thank you for sharing your concerns. Member feedback plays a critical role in evaluating how we evaluate member service and we would appreciate the opportunity to hear more details about your recent experience. If possible, please send us your contact info via direct message and our team will follow up with you directly. COVID-19 has created many challenges, and we want to ensure that we're continuing to offer the best service possible during this difficult time. We hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely, -OnPoint
