Mark Murphy3“Inherited” OceanFirst after they acquired my previous bank, Two River Bank. First, Ocean First discontinued interest on my personal checking account. Next, they closed my branch on Asbury Ave. in Tinton Falls, which was 5 minutes from my home. Then, going to “my new branch” on Shrewsbury Ave., I find their “drive-up” ATM is actually a “park your car and walk up to their outdoor ATM.” Unsafe and extremely inconvenient. Not feeling the love and thinking about changing banks. REVISING my rating to 3 stars instead of the original 2 I gave them. Learned during a call from the branch mgr. today that they’ll reimburse other banks’ atm fees, if charged, no monthly $ limit. That clears the way for using other, more convenient, atm locations. If this OceanFirst branch does their planned facility modernization within the next few years, maybe 3 stars will go to 4 or 5.

We can always count on her if we have any issues and it’s always done quick. The bank tellers are also amazing. You are always greeted with smile and a hello. It’s just a friendly place and we appreciate that.

ERIC5I love Oceanfirst!!!! I have been with them for years now and dealing with them is great! They make you feel like your the only one with an account with them! Martina has helped me tremendously over the years!!!! Anything I need or any questions I have are ALWAYS answered and taken care of immediately! Definitely would recommend banking with them!!! Great job guys!!!

brian froelich5I don't have enough good things to say about Ocean First and the Shrewsbury branch in particular. Last Fall our accounts were hacked by cyber criminals. Needless to say, this caused our family great stress. All of our accounts were effected and we had money taken from us. As soon as we notified Martina at the branch what was happening she immediately took action. First she assured us that everything was going to be OK. She was compassionate and professional. She then took action. All the accounts were frozen so nothing further could happen to us. Then, with the assistance of her team at the branch and in the fraud service center she diligently worked with us to open all new accounts and issue new cards to us. This was done in person. She made sure that every step was explained to us so that we were at ease throughout the entire process. Everything was restored and our money was returned to us. There was a lot involved but she and Karen and the rest of the team at the branch made it seem easy. Since then a couple other issues arose and were again handled immediately and professionally. Just this past week there was another fraud attempt on my card, I went to the branch and once more the incredible Shrewsbury team took care of it immediately. In my haste to get into the branch I locked my keys in my car. However, this was also solved by them. They reached out to my dealership, which was nearby, I made arrangements for a replacement key and then (wait for it) Karen drove me to the dealership and waited while I go the new and key and brought me back to the branch. Exemplary Customer Service does not begin to describe the actions the employees of this branch consistently deliver. If you are looking to change your bank, look no further than the Ocean First, particularly the Shrewsbury branch.

Karen Willis has been tremendous in setting up several favorable solutions for us including a teen account, a HELOC refinance, a mortgage for a family member and help with guiding our youth sports non profit work. Her knowledge and professionalism is second to none and there's no one I'd rather work with.
