NVR Mortgage Finance Inc Reviews

Kara Drew5I highly recommend this company. I just moved into my first home and they made this process amazing. They explained everything to me as things went on and were very patient. The biggest thing they did for me was on my closing day. I was having some trouble with my builder/project manager agreeing to fix items my private inspector said needed to be fixed. My family was adamant I not close until the builder/project manager fixes the items. I’m a single female and felt like the project manager was taking advantage of me. My intention was to call NVR and tell them I was going to be late to the closing. I got Chris on the phone. I told him what was going on. He stepped in and called the builder to discuss how I was being treated. To me, that isn’t his or their responsibility but Chris went above and beyond to have my back. I can’t thank Chris or NVR enough for everything they have done for me. This is the company you should use for the best experience in purchasing your home. Thank you everyone at NVR Mortgage!!!!

Jorge Martinez5As a customer of NVR Mortgage I must say I had a different experience to some reviews posted before. During my home purchase process I was attended by Mike Vergo, who treated me with the highest levels of respect and consideration. Every single question I had was answered in few and in a cordial manner. My process was smooth, with all documents in time and correctly put together. I honestly didn't struggled with the process and would take the company again if needed to manage my mortgage process. Thanks to Mike for all the work and support!!!

Kristina S.5My experience with NVR was great. I dealt with Robin Kinnaman, Juan Enriquez and Mo Kiswani, they all were very professional and extremely responsive. I closed on my home the week of Thanksgiving and Mo was out of the office, he ensured I knew who to contact while he was out and made sure everything was taken care of before taking off. Rob from the beginning to end of the process was truly amazing. He kept me informed and made sure to answer all my questions in a timely manner.

Suzanne Rovira5I'm in the process of buying my first house and this has been a wonderful experience! I was so worried about the loan process, thinking that it was going to be long and tedious, but to my surprise both Angelica, the loan processor, and Kayla, the loan officer, have made the process easy and enjoyable. They have both guided me step by step to make my purchase a reality. My closing day is set for May 3rd and I'll be forever grateful for their help. I'd definitely recommend NVR Mortgage to anyone who asks me, actually I already did and my co-worker just bought a house through them as well! Great customer service!

jose luis fernandez1POOR SERVICE EXPERIENCE and the loan officer Jorge Aharon-Miranda doesn’t treat customers with respect, I personally don’t recommend doing business with this people they are really bad and you’ll regret it. First they told us that a prequalify letter wouldn’t impact on the credit but IT WAS A LIE, so our score it’s now affected because if I would’ve know from the first the moment I wouldn’t apply (only doing it because it’s the community requirement to be included in the waiting list for new homes). Then the loan officer sent us an email saying that he was trying to contact us? But I didn’t receive any text or emails so there goes another lie and when I finally get a hold of him he said he barely have time to clear all my questions and I even explained him my situation because I have some knowledge about how’s this process and know how much I can afford since I was already prequalified before with 2 another lenders (2 big companies which they both approved me Taylor Morrison and Pulte) and didn’t receive a hard inquiry on the credit, and I asked him who’s wrong in this case? The ones that didn’t affect my credit and also approved me or the one that affected and didn’t approve, then he comes with a sarcastic response excusing that he can only speak for his company and doesn’t give me an exact information, at that point I was done hearing his bs and felt disrespected, I asked if he could please explain to my partner because it’s simply more professional and she has the right to know why we weren’t approved guess what he said? He doesn’t have time because he took 20 min with me so now it’s too busy for not even 5 min for customers that weren’t approved. So is this discrimination and isn’t your responsibility communicate with customers?

Christian Anthony2This experience turned sour in such a short amount of time. My home-buying experience has been absolutely ruined. And this company is making my life a living hell. We were scheduled to close on a Friday. I turned in all my docs a month before closing, and they sat on my file for over a month before saying anything. I even followed up relentlessly throughout that entire month to try and have enough time to address any last minute hiccups. Again - scheduled to close on a Friday - and on Thursday (the week before), at close of business, the underwriter opened my file for what seemed to be the first time ever - making requests for documentation that could've been requested much earlier. Then, to make things worse, the day before closing, they started asking questions about my employment. They never understood my employment situation and ended up pushing my closing date out 12 days. I have now been in 2 Airbnb properties, with all my stuff in a Uhaul, my wife and our infant daughter - in the middle of a global pandemic... As of today I have no idea where we will go once our Airbnb reservation is up. This seems hopeless... The incentives were nice up front - but their underwriting department is very imprudent in the way the deal with people. They are playing games with people's lives....

Ana Maria Linabury1This is the worst company in the market! Please do some research and save your family and future investment now that you can. They are very unprofessional, unhelpful, horrible customer service, extremely inattentive to details which is the most concerning as it is a mortgage company, they will not keep your personal information private as they might mix your file with someone else’s and end up getting you in a lot of trouble for what you can be legally and financially liable later on. They made it seem at first like the process was really easy and smooth if we chose to go with them so we did purchase our first home from Ryan Homes in Riverview, FL and the realtor recommended NVR as first option. Being 29 years old we didn’t know much about this process so we asked a lot of questions and were given promising answers but made the mistake of taking their word and did not request anything in writing for each briefing we had with NVR representatives Sally Moreno and Justin Lamay. It was only until ONE month before closing in our house that we received a call from this representatives telling us that they might deny our mortgage loan (after we signed all the paperwork, gave down payment and started construction) if we didn’t pay off one of our credit cards for 5,000$USD. We advised them we didn’t have this amount in cash to do so as we put all our life savings towards the down payment, furniture buying, moving expenses, are expecting our first child and one of us lost our job due to Covid-19. It was the most stressful situation we had in our lives, not knowing what was going to happen, after this, our realtor from Ryan Homes worked out a “deal” with NVR so they lended us the money (re-approved our mortgage, as we had already been approved once and had that in writing also we had locked down our interest rate but didn’t have the money to prosecute this legally for NVR to comply to the contract we signed previously). The deal with NVR ended up being that they deducted the 5,000$ from our down payment and made it seem like we only put 4,000$ as down payment increasing the amount that we had to borrow from them, as we originally had given 10,000$ and they took 1,000$ and put it towards closing cost to make it look like we didn’t have to pay “anything” at closing. Despite all the attempts we made for NVR representatives to send us in writing everything that we spoke on the phone and they agreed to it, they never actually did and kept calling us to change the terms of the mortgage and when we asked why they haven’t sent us what we discussed over the phone they just kept apologizing (at least we have that in writing to prove their negligence). We ended up moving into our new home to find out that NVR never sent the proper documentation to the community we moved to and security personnel denied us entry to the community every day after my husband and I came back from work as they didn’t have our address registered nor any notice that we were home owners of any property in the community, this happened for 2 weeks and we had to spend 20 minutes at the entrance dealing with this issue and calling everyone until the security person will just let us in because they didn’t know what else to do. At some point we were denied and had to call the police to come assist me to enter my own home community as I was 8 months pregnant and in a lot of pain to deal with that whole mess and needed to rush home. It’s been 2 months since we moved in and now we’re having issues again with NVR as they claim they have not received our first payment which we sent on the mail late June as it was due 1st July. They say they have tried to reach us several times and I went to verify the info they have as we have not received any attempts for calls or voicemails or emails, well they say the phone numbers we provided are nit the right ones!! Like, what? How is that possible if they contacted us through the whole process that lasted 7 months?? And well, here we are trying to battle the late fee and the credit bureau regarding this matter.

Andrew Bisbing1Another disappointing review for NVR. For us they changed their policies halfway through our process. Okay... There's a big red flag right there but to top it off, after being pre approved they actually denied our application and couldn't really explain it. At that point we were so devastated we wouldn't hear it. You would think they would have "grandfathered in" a loan application that was okay by their policies just months before. Just felt shady and underhanded to us.

Lindsey1This company decided to put our address on the deed and other important paper work for another new homeowner's information. So now, we have been receiving information with our address and another person's name!! The office people completely screwed up by putting our address (which we closed a year ago) on someone else's paperwork and deed to their new build home!! WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING IN THE OFFICE?! HOW COULD YOU SCREW UP SOMETHING LIKE THIS?! Also, the homeowner's that had our address on their paperwork had informed NVR severval times about this and had to call all of the another parties involved to fix this... NVR should have been the ones to fix this and to inform all parties about the mostake!!! They also did NOT "transfer" our homeowner's insurance information over to the mortgage company that bought our loan...Make sure (New homeowners) to double check ALL OF YOUR INFORMATION!! Of course, we would say to not use this company at all no matter what they offer!! If I could give them 0 stars I would, because this company messed up really bad in my opinion. *NVR DON'T YOU DARE BLAME THE "CONFUSION" ON COVID-19 EITHER!!!

Benjamin Perez1As a first time home buyer this company has continuously been a disappointment. No one will followup with you after you sign for the home, they literally me tracked my down nights and weekends for $14.53 after closing on the home because they didn't do the paperwork right on their end. They do provide a great product but their staff can do a much better job at customer service.
