Jason Zepernick1Stay away, do not send this company or anyone named Steve any money. He took $2k from us. We had to go to state attorneys office and file suit. This is a scam. Read other reviews and due your diligence small guy operating out of a house in Florida. One last thing please, please sue me for defamation. I will be glad to provide proof of all my dealings. Nancy Canady1This is not a legitimate business. I was wanting to refinance my home and consolidate my other debt. Got an email from this company so I called them. Had great rates and seemed legitimate. Can get it done in 2 weeks. great. 2 weeks and nothing. 3 weeks and for a period of time could not get phone messages answered. left a message I was going to withdraw and suddenly heard from Steve again. He had been to Canada (borders were closed but he said he flew in his jet there). Said I needed to call my AMEX and 2 other credit cards to verify payoff. I told him I knew they had not been paid off, if I had the money to pay them off without this loan I would not be calling him. But he said "I've paid them off" (Without a loan, closing, or any documentation saying I would pay them back, nothing). Sure enough I called and the card companies reported zero balance. I called Steve back, and reported zero balance. Okay now you need to pay the $3,000 processing fee. My gut kicked in. I told him I didn't pay processing fees until at closing. and besides I did not have $3,000 that day, I would have to wait until the next day. Before I had gotten out of bed, AMEX had sent me an email that the "payment" had bounced and I was now at the original balance plus $35,00 bad check fee. I called Steve with this development and he said they had taken the card information down wrong and was sending it back through. Again, I needed to pay $3,000. AMEX and the 2 other cards were reporting a bounced payment. Steve called AMEX posing as Mr. Nancy Canady (not a MR.) and because he had my SS#, DOB, and address they thought he owned the account. The representative got disconnected and happened to call my phone number to reconnect as I am the only one on the account. He asked to speak to MR. Canady. I explained to him there was no MR. as he had been dead for 4 years. We discussed the issue and he suggested I close the account and reopen a different number, which we did. But because he tried to make a zero balance the second time and it bounced again, AMEX cancelled my card completely. I am waiting for them to review to reinstate my card. This process almost cost me my home or at least $3,000 which I never sent. They would have closed on the home, wired the funds for closing and as soon as the deed was recorded withdraw they wire. (yes you can reverse a wire). They would have had a first lien Deed of Trust on my house and I would have owed not only them but the bank we had "paid off". Do not send them money for anything. Everyone has "steve's" number. Just beware. Thank God I'm only out $210 in service fees from 3 credit cards "payoffs" being returned. Lesson learned.
