Navy Federal Credit Union Reviews

James Helm3So I just opened an account with this bank a couple months ago. I went in later to get information about opening accounts for my children and was given information and forms to fill out. My issue is that I can't call this branch directly to talk with the person I spoke with in regards to opening those accounts for my children to ask questions. I just think it isn't very personable

Angela V5We stopped by on our way back to St. Louis. My daughter needed a new debit card and they took great care of her. We were in and out in no time. Tiffany was polite, professional, and kind. She’s another reason we’ll always use Navy Fed no matter where our travels take us.

Matthew Wall1Do not ever get a mortgage through them. They are extremely slow and uncoordinated. Had three different lenders take over the account within a 45 day period, and was told different things by each of them... they couldn't even contact the right place for the title, and forget about ever getting ahold of the lenders themselves. Told us that we didn't need an inspection to get approved for a investment property, but we got one anyway for our own piece of mind, and then NFCU turns around and tells us we need to get the things fixed before they could approve us! Then 20 minutes later told us we were approved. Very confusing, frustrating and stressful for something that shouldn't be so hard. Will NEVER use them again, and will be even closing my checking account with them soon after this whole fiasco.

REUBEN VIELMA4The only complaints about this location is the lack of a drive thru unlike other locations around the country. This location is usually busier than most but the staff is always friendly. Just wish there was a closer one towards Springfield,MO

Sean Collier5very nice staff who quickly helped me and explained the processes of setting up a new account. Even though they were very busy, I waited no more then 10 minutes before I was welcomed into a office to complete my paperwork. There was even a new trainee there and she was able to efficiency do her job given her lack of experience, while maintaining her professionalism at all times.

Megan Michael1On an average visit this particular branch has so so service. Occasionally you’ll get a teller that is absolutely personable, bubbly and fun! One two occasions I have had the misfortune of getting one particular teller who is, in plain English; RUDE. She is unpleasant and I’ve seen her treat members ahead of me with the same level of “holier than thou” syndrome. The first time, I wrote it off. This time? Nope. Too obvious. Snippy. Impatient. unpleasant. No other teller was available or I would have gladly gone to another. Overall, disappointed as a whole with their customer service. With the exception of a few employees, this branch needs some assistance in customer service.

Brittany Hanlon1I’m changing banks. This local bank has absolutely rude employees. Numerous times one of the bank tellers is just snippy and always has an attitude, and the older lady that works the desk is just rude. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

R1I don't bank here and I never will after this experience. I was helping a friend and the staff was so rude. Just rude and unhelpful. They both stood there and claimed they couldn't help due to covid. I get that, I do, but then why even open the lobby?!

Bernie Riker1Need local # to deal with local issues. Need to train staff in regards to CD'S & customer service etiquette. If they do not know an answer, get someone who does instead of an attitude that turns into an aggressive confrontations. I miss the way Navy Fed use to be. Maybe the credit union took on too much when expanding the membership. My husband has been an active member since 1977 & never experienced the difficulties & lack of being personal with the member & knowing the members.

Rob Houston2Well here is the problem... the teller patricia was rude.. she said about my account and I didnt know what she was talking about so i leaned over a little... what does she do raises her hand close to my face and then turns her computer screen... i asked her what was that for and she says oh i might have other peoples information on my screen... im going to point out two things.. one you have that black thing on the screen so we cant see it and two... why the hell would you have other members information on your screen if your not dealing with them... you dont have phone here so no one will call you about their account.. and if your done with a member you should put away all their info and not keep it on your computer... thats a invasion of privacy if your looking at it other than business reasons... and oh yeah she just got bacl from her break while i was in line and i was her first customer so info should be on that screen. Im pretty sure there wasnt but dont give that excuse and put your hand towards my face thats what pisses people off.. i have no problem with navy federal but she is a new employee at this branch but yet worked since november 2010.... need to learn some respect and your job before you do something that will make you lose your job. Dont have a problem with anybody else or the bank... just her and the way she acted.
