N1High interest loan for blemished credit (over 25%), you have to do what you have to do in that situation to keep on the road. No grace period for late payments. Company will blow up your phone non-stop, every day until they get a payment, even when you make a payment arrangement. Numerous reps will call daily from varying numbers. My situation, I never missed a payment since the initial loan 3 years ago. 2020, I started getting behind due to obvious reasons many of us faced this year. They had no sympathy, even if you were sick or off work due to the pandemic, but they are a business who demands their money you initially borrowed. Anyway trying to get caught up isn't easy, accruing $25 late fees that seem to be piling up week after week as with ruining my perfect payment history in my credit report. Their customer service rep, RAFAEL, is the absolute most rudest, condescending, unprofessional, patronizing, inconsiderate, conniving, sarcastic, disrespectful, threatening employee I have came across and I will never deal with again. I can not even fathom a company would continue to employ such a demeaning person to represent their business, as I have read another review of a customer mentioning his name, possibly on the BBB site, as I will be filing a complaint there. He would not listen to me, kept interrupting and talking over me louder and louder. He would not work out a payment date, would not tell me what an acceptable payment would temporarily be, kept asking me what "what's to not understand" when I asked him a question that I didn't understand, therefore insinuating that I'm stupid without directly calling me stupid. He threatened to take my car the next day asking if I lived and worked in the same place, continued to belittle me in conversation where I kept telling him I wanted to make a payment but couldn't make the entire past due amount, but he insisted I had to, then said he was going to note it in his computer that I wouldn't make a payment (therefore calling me a liar), as I called TO make a payment. He just had no intention to cooperate or allow me to make any acceptable payment unless it was the entire past due amount. He was being belligerent and then also said he was taking my car the next day and hung up on me. I called again to speak to a different representative, who was actually pleasant and cooperative. He answered the questions I had asked RAFAEL, but politely and professionally. He told me exactly an acceptable payment and what I also needed to get caught up, his name was ANDY. He also apologized for RAFAEL's behavior and unprofessionalism as he mentioned he reviewed the recording of our conversation and said I didn't deserve to be disrespected nor treated in that manner, as he was embarrassed of his co-worker's attitude and disgrace. I then paid Andy over the phone what was an agreeably acceptable payment, by "virtual" check, reading my routing number, checking account number and check number. Everything was good. Then... Of course everyday starting the next day after payment, the numerous calls daily began again. And today, WITHOUT my authorization, WITHOUT my permission, neither verbal not written, not at any time, not past or present, have I given authorization for an automatic payment. Nationwide processed a transaction automatically, took money out of my account I didn't have, and overdraft my checking account in the hundreds plus insufficient funds fees. I did not authorize that transaction nor did I have knowledge of it, therefore, they STOLE money out of my account by storing and using my routing and checking number from the previous one-time check payment. I have never given them permission to so, not signed a paper document, not signed a digital document, did not authorize it verbally on the phone. They STOLE this money and I'm ready for them to repo my auto as I do not want to continue to deal with thieves. I will get my money back through my bank and will file a report with the police department and they can come take the car. It will be their loss by doing, it's not in great shape.

Claudia Solano5I bought a car about 2 years ago and financed through Nationwide. And honestly I haven't had any issues. The customer service has been great. I make my payments online and its easy. Payments weren't too high so that's a plus as well. And if I'm a couple days behind they don't harass me like other companies do nor penalize me.

Tara Ekola1I wish I could give no stars! This is by far the worst loan company I have ever dealt with! They do not communicate with you AT ALL! I've tried to settle my debt with them numerous times and they don't respond. Pop up requesting job verification then disappear for a year and then pop back up trying to do the same thing! If they have the capability to contact my place of work, then you surely have the capability to contact ME, like I've been trying to do the past 2 years! DO NOT EVER EVER EVER EVER GET AN AUTO LOAN THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!!

Donnie Cain1DO NOT GO HERE>>WARNING>>>WARNING>>>>This place is run by Chicago gangsters. They will abuse you and treat you like shi_. They do not care about you and will ruin you. RIP-OFF. I bought a car that was for sale, 15,000.00, I ended up paying 400.00 a month for 5 years. So the car was costing me 24.000.00 dollars. Yes, bad credit. I traded in my car to get this one. 3.5 years, I was never late and never missed a note. Always on time, ALWAYS. So I get transferred to Texas and a Hail Storm hits, totals out the car. I think, OK, I have full coverage insurance so I should not have a problem. I owed 9k on the car at this point. The insurance paid 6K on the loan. I am thinking they are going to let me pick another car with the 6K the insurance paid them and let me continue to pay my note that I was never late or missed. No, they took my car, the 6K dollars and told me that they wanted me to pay them 3K more dollars and I would not be getting another car with the insurance money. How do I get to work? You now have my car that I never missed a payment, you took the insurance money, you have my car that I traded in, how the hell am I supposed to get to work? They did not give a dam, and it wasn't like this was my fault. Never missed a payment, insurance was paid and always up to date with full coverage. I did everything right, screw this company and the POS people that work there. Your loan is good now, Better not have an accident or let an act of Nature get you.

kay issues1Bad bad bad. Double charged me 12,000$ for a 3,500$ car. The customer service is beyond bad. A customer service rep called me early in the morning about a payment that was a couple days due which wasn't a problem because I could just pay it over the phone. I asked to speak to the manager and the representative told me "Good because, I don't want to talk to you." The manager was rude too even though I had payed them. I explained and even apologized but he continously had a ugly attitude. He did not care. Please run FAR away from this company. Seek better options

Gary Ward5I see a lot of bad reviews for this place, but I have to admit, my own experience was pretty good. I was buying a used car from a gentleman who had a loan with Nationwide and we were trying to figure out the best way for him to pay off the loan so he could get the title and transfer it to me right away. We called their customer service number and talked to a nice representative who didn't have the info at her fingertips, but she called back within a half hour to give the needed information. We followed the instructions she gave us, and everything went off without a hitch. The loan was paid off, and they were able to give us the title on the spot, and we only had to wait a few minutes. I'm sure they deal with a lot of difficult customers every day, so, the only downside I'd say was that the employees at the office seemed a little guarded at first, but once they saw we weren't there to give some song and dance, they happily provided what we needed with a smile.
