  As a previous reviewer posted, debits will often post before credits, ridiculously long hold times before releasing funds, excessive fees for everything! Several times I was charged a $29 overdraft fee for an item less than $5 (and I had direct deposit) and they refused to reverse. There's also no limit per day on overdraft fees, poor customer service, inconvenient hours of operation, few locations and VERY uncooperative Access-24 phone banking service is the WORST!

  I would highly advise anyone and everyone to stay away from NASA FCU at all costs. I should have seen the warning signs when I first went to the Rockville branch when the wait time was outrageous and several bankers went about their mundane tasks without evening acknowledging customers in need of their assistance. Now that I have had several months of experience as a miserable NASA FCU customer, I know how TRULY awful they are. First and foremost, they have an extremely non-user friendly website where you MUST log on from a computer using your entire credit card number, social etc in order to simply pay a bill. ANY other bank allows you to just log on and make a payment from your desired bank from there. Secondly, I have gotten numerous emails and letters stating that a portion of my documentation to complete my account were still pending when I have spent hours on hold with several NASA FCU customer service representatives in order to solidify that no further information was needed on my end. Lastly, they require you to visit a branch everytime you need something. In this day and age where customer retention is largely based on convenience, accessibility, and top-notch customer service, NASA is without a doubt deserving of 0/5 stars. I pray that they will one day be able to redeem themselves for all of the low-quality service they have likely provided to thousands of customers, I won't hold my breath.

  Hello Niloofar, thank you for your feedback. It sounds like there are a couple things we can do to make your experience more convenient. As a NASA Federal member, you are able to log in to our secure website which allows you to pay your bills with a quick transfer. We also have a mobile app with a "Make Payment" feature that allows you to pay your credit card with a few simple taps. We also have a BillPay+ feature in which you can pay other bills like utility or cable bills. We have customers around the nation and do not require branch visits as we use electronic methods to receive required paperwork. However, we will let the Rockville branch know about your experience as we take member feedback seriously.   I just took all my money out of this bank and opened another credit union account. The branch manager is extremely ghetto, can’t speak proper English and completely incompetent. Don’t open an account here it will be nothing but a headache dealing with them. They lack basic manners and professionalism.

  I have been a customer for sometime. I wish they would open more branches. You have to go so far out to get to one. Need more in Maryland. Like Germantown, Frederick, hyattsville etc. Come on make customers happy.

  JAFFCU.... Just Another Frackin' Federal Credit Union, In case you have not guessed, clinically, I suffer financially from "Bank Envy", , I'm stuck at Toronto's TD Banque and Bethesda's Congressional Banque, both are decent banks but thsts it, they are just that, cursed from birth they are Banks and not no Freaking Federal Credit Union, or the most Knowledgeable, skilled and professional... National Air and Space Administration Federal Credit Union also Rockville Maryland's NASA FCU.

  I really like this credit union. Honest, Friendly, Basic Services. All charges up front , no games like other banks seem to play.
