  I've had the opportunity to interview a number of clients for Murphy Business. Every single one of them have had great things to say about Dick and his team. The most fascinating part is anytime we've interviewed selling clients after a closing, the buyers have wanted to say something about their experience with the Murphy Business crew. All of them sang praises about the professionalism and expertise the Murphy Business team provided, even though the buyers weren't "their client." To me, this speaks to the values Dick and his team bring to everyone involved in a deal. When it comes time to sell my business, Murphy Business will be the only team I call.

  I have been in a situation where I was selling a business a couple of years ago and was quite impressed with the exchange I had with Murphy Business Sales. Both Ben and Dick were very professional and when I was prepared to buy a business partner's half of the business last fall, I returned to the Haltermans for their professional help. Once again I was impressed completely. I will seek them out again in the next few years when I'll be selling two businesses and go into full time retirement. These fellows are great.   Dick and his crew have listed and found buyers for several of our clients. I believe Dick's experience as a CPA provides him the technical expertise to understand the financial aspects of individual businesses, and the ability to present that information in a way that potential buyers can understand. In every deal there seems to be a time when it appears the deal may fall apart, and that is when Dick work his magic to keep the process moving forward.

  In June 2017, my family purchased Shenandoah Paint, thru Dick Halterman and his Shenandoah Valley Murphy Business Broker team. From the professionally prepared Confidential Memorandum, through the meeting with the Sellers, through the negotiated Letter of Intent, through the Due Diligence period and through the timely Closing, the entire process was smooth and without any issues. Dick's listing of a 35 year old established Benjamin Moore Paint store in Harrisonburg, was a great business opportunity.
