  The customer service is TERRIBLE. There is never enough staff to handle the traffic at the Ralph Ave Brooklyn location. When you call MCU contact number it is always a 45 minute or more wait to talk to someone??? I would not suggest putting your money into an MCU account, especially if you need to access it immediately. WORST customer service I have ever seen at a financial institution. I'm sure there are nice people that work there, but you never get to see or talk to them???? MCU needs to make some enormous improvements if they are going to continue to handle my banking needs!!

  Trying to speak with a representative on the phone is impossible! Every 90 seconds or so, they keep adding more minutes to the "estimated wait time"

  I have a mortgage account with this bank, for the past 4 years I’ve been sending extra payments along with memos requesting for the extra payment to be applied to the principal. On 2-3 occasions a customer service rep did the transaction over the phone for me and I was told to do it myself online. To this date, only one extra payment was applied to the principal. I’ve been trying since the beginning of July to resolve this issue with no one available to help over the phone. Try to make an appointment with the branch, when you leave a message no one return your call. They have great rates but are lacking when it comes to customer services. Issues that are resolved with a simple phone call or a visit to a branch in less than a day, here it takes months and there is no one who seems to know what to do much less how to resolve THEIR MISTAKES!!!!!

  My experience with MCU is that the customer service is not up to par. Even the ATM machines are down most of the time. We still have to make appointment to get actual customer service because they are still not open to the public like most banks. I like my credit union but they need to step it up. They need more to be desired.

  Atm ate my money Mcu staff at this location are lazy and unmotivated. They don't care about customers. No one wants to help me with this. So I lost money. If you have a choice tonight use this bank I wouldn't.

  it’s the worst bank ever. always long lines, staff walk around a lot which means bank is not organized well. took me months to get my loan straightened out. can’t get through on phone & have to make appointment to see anyone

  I recently closed an old account with $400 in the balance. I live in Ohio now and haven't used the account in over 2 years. I asked the business to close the account and send a refund check to my current address. After telling me that I need to fly out to close the account, someone was able to close the account for me remotely. However, they sent the check with my remaining balance to the old address on file without notifying me first, despite my request clearly stating where I would like the check to go. Now, over a month after my original request has been made, I am having to jump through various hoops and wrong departments to get this situation sorted out. I would implore any potential customers to stay far away from this horrible organization.

  On July 26, 2020 I deposited $400 in my account through the ATM. The machine gave me no receipt and did not deposit the money into my account. It was a Sunday so of course customer service was not available. I called bright and early Monday morning and was told they are doing an investigation. Meanwhile I have pending transactions waiting to come out my account.

  The Worse ATM Location for MCU. Atleast how i feel! ATM are always Broken ! On a good day 2 Atms are working ! Out of 4 that they have! Very inconvenient to the point i would rather get charged to take out money from another bank !

  Waiting for over an hour, people walking in and rudely asking for help get serviced first. Nevermind the fact that there is a check-in kiosk so people can be serviced in order that they came in. Employees have ZERO sense of urgency, nor do they look like they want to be there. Brick and mortar is wondering why they are losing business to online services? Shouldnt be this hard to figure out why...Immediately closing all of my accounts with this bank, AT ANOTHER BRANCH just because of this experience and previous experiences at this branch.
