  I've been a customer for over a decade and I go to other banks for my needs beyond a basic checking account. There are plenty of good banks out there aside from this place. Equal parts apathetic and predatory. Capital One offers easy car loans, PenFed offers free accounts AND lines of credit, plenty of places offer mortgages, just without the nonsense of dealing with this bank.

  Banked here for years (commercial and consumer)... Today a group of us waited until 10 after regular open time, only to find out the lobby wasn't open today. The sign on the door only said the bank was closed on Monday and nothing about the lobby being closed. Someone in line finally got the teller to come to the door. She pointed out the sign and waved to us (as we told her the sign was wrong!) The teller who pointed the sign out to us took the sign down and replaced it shortly thereafter. Once again, I feel like I'm a real inconvenience to the folks at Mountain West. Very disappointing and might make it hard to resist the next offer from Chase to jump ship.

  Didn't end up going through Mountain West for the loan but wanted to thank Rebecca Miller - Mortgage Loan Originator for her hard work of getting us pre-approved so rapidly. Her hard work was very appreciated.

  Typical bank, just like Bank of America and Wells Fargo, they won’t cash their own checks unless you have an account with them. I don’t know how these places get away with it, but this is why I went to a credit union many years ago and never went back. Mountain West is a waste of time.
