  If you or anyone you know are looking for a child custody/support lawyer look no further than Michael Smith with Morton Gettys! I was served papers in early of 2020 by an aggressive man on a motorcycle at 9 pm. It was a pretty scary experience; I almost didn't open the door. After searching through some not so great firms, I found the most amazing firm and attorney. My attorney, Michael Smith and his Paralegal, Michele, with Morton and Gettys are nothing short of amazing. When I first met Michael, my first impression was - wow, he takes this seriously and he takes his time! The attorneys I spoke with before always seemed rushed, egotistical and just didn't seem to care. Not Michael! He went over every article in the papers I was served and explained everything - including how the opposing attorney had errors in the papers that haven't been the standard in years. I brought this paper to another law firm and they said I just had to agree to whatever the opposing lawyer said and didn't pick up on the errors in the document that Michael did. He was always one step ahead and on my side. He gave me tools to succeed in the future and that would make this a smooth road ahead. His advice was more than I could have ever hoped for! I could not have asked for more. He always kept me in the loop and I never felt left in the dark. He's super smart and on top of everything. It was a pretty scary experience but when I met Michael, within minutes, I felt at ease and the stress melted away. His Paralegal, Michele, made everything very smooth and was a great communicator. I truly appreciate her patience with me when I got caught up with the kids. I truly appreciate Michael and Michele at Morton and Gettys! Thank you both for all that you do!

  I myself don't have a personal injury case. I would love to hear from anyone that has had a case with them. How long does it take for you to see progress? Do you have cases that are held up because of covid? A person I'm trying to help has a lawyer with M&G. Her case has been going on since 2017. I'm not saying M&G has had her case in their hands that long. My friend said Courtney was her first lawyer but she moved. Her case was then given to M&G from what I understand. I will say that they are helping her without her having to pay.

  I worked with Michael Smith during my divorce and I can't say enough good things about him. He was very thorough, explained things very clearly, and delivered a very favorable outcome (for such an awful event to go through). While he is fairly young, he seems to have a ton of experience with divorce and family law. He was an excellent guide, and I wouldn't consider using anyone else. I recommend him 110%

  This Law Office is partly owned by Rock Hill SC Mayor John Gettys. If your city mayor is getting complaints about his personal business being corrupt. What can we expect as our Mayor? Same Game just Different Court! Do not trust this law office with your money or future. This is an abuse of power that causes this office to NOT represent clients to the best of their interest. The Mayor and Judges are associates which will never benefit the clients. Favors are completely exchanged between each other for their interest ONLY. MONEY MONEY MONEY it’s Capitalism at it’s best and the business benefits as the Clients lose one way or another.

  Attorney Lynelle Morgan is threatening my elderly grandmother that her support will get cut off if she doesn’t pay an additional $2,000 in less than 2 weeks! My grandmother has already paid $10,000 for this divorce attorney and was misrepresented. And to boot, my grandmother was initially quoted $5,000 when we inquired with Morton & Getty’s. The attorney specifically assured us that if my grandmother caught him committing adultery (which she did, and provided proof) that her ex would then be responsible for paying all of her Attorney fees and Private Investagative fees. This obviously never happened and now she is demanding we pay an additional 2k, for no reason. I’m writing the judge a letter regarding this attorney because I am so upset at the ageism, greed, and false promises that Morton and Getty’s has demonstrated on my elderly grandmother. Super disheartening. Do not recommend. Buyer Beware, etc. money hungry firm
