  I’m a listener of mortgage Gumbo. Can’t thank Dwayne and his team enough for taking care of my son. He was a 1st time homebuyer who was getting the runaround from other mortgage companies. From day 1 Dwayne explained the process and kept me and my son informed. Could not be prouder to have son out of my house and to recommend Mortgage Gumbo to any parents or guardians.   From start to finish this was a very easy and efficient process. During my lengthy search for a home, I needed proof of preapproval outside of business hours more than once. Each time that request was met immediately, and I could not have asked for better communication or service. Throughout the process I felt very confident that the Mortgage Gumbo team was looking out for my best interest.   Dwayne is a fountain of information, good advice, knowledge, and above all devotion. My cup runneth over! Starting the homebuying process can be more than a little intimidating these days. When I started searching for the right person to guide me down all of the avenues of this process, I never thought I would find someone with such a wealth of knowledge, who actually wanted to share that knowledge with me, and also treated my goals and dreams as their own.   Dwayne Stein is a wealth of knowledge and is very generous in sharing said knowledge; always looking to help home buyers with education and options, finding the best mortgage program that suits their needs. Dwayne and his team are dedicated to making sure the buyer’s experience is nothing short of stellar. I was a seller and my buyer’s chosen mortgage lender was dragging their feet, ultimately telling my buyer they couldn’t get him financed.   We needed to buy our home quickly in order to be able to move my mom in with us.   My husband and I have now used Dwayne and his team to both purchase and re-fi.   Did the impossible! After extending home inspection period three times, I was worried the seller would pull out if I extended the closing date by over a month. Dwayne told me not to worry and that we would close on time (+/- 9 days). The other lenders said it was impossible but Dwayne got it done! We closed right on time and now I'm happy in my new home! He and his staff were extremely helpful and took extra time to make sure I understood all my options. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  Not many people take the time to show up week after week & do a radio show, on a Saturday, with a goal of educating people about how to be smart when buying a home. But that's Dwayne. He's a New Orleans guy through and through, which is why he puts other people first and you can see it in everything they do, from the radio show to taking care of every single customer that walks in the door.

  Dwayne Stein and his entire team, from start to finish, made one of the most difficult refinances an enjoyable one. FHA loans are never easy and finding out FEMA re-zoned me into a flood zone was nice and then finding out my property is the dividing line for Flood Zone A and Flood Zone C made it even more special, but Dwayne and his entire team are there to assist with any road bumps that may pop up along the way. Like I said, this was not an easy loan. Many would have walked away. Not them. They were patient, led us through every step, and got us across the finish line when at times it looked impossible. If it can be done, this team will get it done. They are happy if you are happy, and I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone needing mortgage anything.
