  All the other banks and companies turned me down because I did not have 2 year employment due to being in the military and getting out in the midst of covid. One of the first things Jordan said was something along the lines of "Always find a way to yes." If there is a will there is a way. I love that kind of attitude and was glad it was reciprocated. I was able to close quickly despite my busy schedule and full time job. I found it difficult and often times there was bad communication because of inopportune timing. The reason for the 4 stars is because communication have been better. When I could get a hold of Jordan, he explained things concisely and answered my questions thoroughly. However, unfortunately, it was seldom that I spoke to him. I found it tough to get into contact with the team, be it email, phone, or text. In a time of automation and everything being electronic, nothing beats the assurance of a human voice and person behind the phone to let you know things will be okay. Especially for a first-time home buyer who doesn't know what is going on and can easily feel overwhelmed by the scary steps it takes to own a home. I disliked the automated emails, too, and felt overwhelmed by the stream of them. Solution to both of these problems is to merely call and assure the clients more often. I know it is easy to email and text, but people want to hear it from a person. Like I said earlier, when communication was established and maintained, I felt assured by the experts I was listening to. It just needed to happen more often. Signing documents was made easy, however I also wish I could have gone over them more extensively in person or on a call (more often, once again). It, too, is unfortunate that I never met the team. I think meeting in person at least once, twice, or three times would be much better for clients. Nonetheless, they helped me when no others would. I likely could have been a better customer as well, and we all were busy! Would be neat to see a review of my review, reviewing me as a customer lol.

  Being a first time home buyer was so easy working with Waterstone Mortgage. I had the pleasure of working with Jessica and Jordan Leonhard. Every question I had was answered in a way I understood immediately when during business hours. Low, locked loan rates was a huge plus! Thank you Waterstone Mortgage for making us home owners!! :) I highly recommend working with Waterstone for all your mortgage needs!

  I recently purchased a house and worked with Waterstone. They were absolutely great! They worked with me and my family for a long time to get everything perfect. Jordan was great to work with he contacted me on my terms and what worked best for me. Jordan made the home purchasing process fun and easy! Would work with them again. Thank you!

  Very stressful and poor experience. I recommend exhausting all other options before using this mortgage company. Jordan and Jessica apparently do not communicate. We would send in all documents that were requested by one of them and receive an email the next day from the other asking for the same information. Financial documents were lost and needed to be resubmitted multiple times. We were pre-approved after disclosing all of our financials and the team managed to miss a CAIVRS score that required us to pay off my wife's student loans in full. This came after we had an accepted offer and had paid our ernest money. Our closing was pushed back multiple times at which point Jordan suggested an arbitrary date for closing but never communicated it to anyone until 5 days before our scheduled move. And only after I happened to say something about the closing time and location in conversation. We moved across the state and lived with my parents with all of our belongings in a moving truck for an additional week while the only saving grace for this company, Debbie, sorted out the mess. Jordan and Jessica had stopped communicating weeks prior to closing. Since our move I have talked with others going through awful home buying experiences. I asked who they were using and, to no surprise, they answered Waterstone Mortgage Experts Team Leonhard. Waterstone has multiple locations so I can not speak to the company as a whole, but I would recommend avoiding Mortgage Experts Team Leonhard.

  Jordan and his team at Waterstone are all great people to work with! They were quick to respond to all of our questions, and worked hard to get our family the best loan possible, even working right up until the very end of the process. Thank you so much for helping us get into our dream home!!

  My wife and I decided to take advantage of very low interest rates and refinance our house. From the very start the team at Waterstone was right by our side and made sure we understood every step in the process. Every time we had a question we were answered in a fast and knowledgeable way. The team made sure that all the "T's" were crossed and "I's" were dotted during the process to make sure our experience went as smooth as possible. I highly recommend using them for a home purchase or to refinance a home loan. Thank you!

  Last year I was shopping for home mortgage loans and met Jordan at his office. Jordan said he could beat any mortgage rate that I found at other organizations. I was given an amazing mortgage rate at another organization. In order to beat the rate, Waterstone told me to obtain information about the other institution's loan. I had questions about the process of obtaining that information and attempted to call Jordan about the process but on that day, Jordan left early from the office. The next day, I called again and was told that Jordan was unavailable and he would contact me. He never did. I then emailed him but he never responded to me email. But yet, Waterstone continued to send me computer generated emails about their service. I ended up working not working with Waterstone for my home mortgage. My guess and speculation is that Waterstone couldn't beat the mortgage rate despite that I was told that they can beat any mortgage rate. Instead of ignoring my inquiries, Jordan could have told me that Waterstone could not help me get a better mortgage rate.
