  Thought I would take a moment to say thank you John for being such a great resource regarding the reverse mortgage world. It truly is a great product that allows people to take advantage of all their years of hard work allowing the equity they have in their home work to their advantage while staying in the home. People are living longer and pension benefits etc are dwindling. I've seen my own neighbor benefit from a reverse. She travelled the world over the past 10 years and has recently passed away. I'm so happy that she was able to enjoy some of those great memories. The home is now being sold and her children and grandchildren will still benefit nicely from the sale as the home has appreciated substantially since she first took out the reverse.

  John O'Connor and Monticello Reverse Mortgage helped my mom not long after my dad died. She had no life insurance to help her.   DO NOT TRUST THEM....John O'Connor is the type of person you dread your elderly family members meeting. He comes across as a very nice gentleman but spends his days preying upon the elderly. John convinced my grandmother she was making a great investment decision when really John was stealing her home for pennies on the dollar. My 85 year old grandmother was two days out of the hospital and high on pain medication when John sent someone to her house to sign a reverse mortgage. She was in no state to make this decision but John was more than happy to take her money. Needless to say the interest rates were outrageous and it was a terrible agreement for my grandmother to sign.

  I am sorry that you feel that way about your grandmother's reverse mortgage. For context, I personally met with her at least six times over the course of about 12 months while she considered her options. She brought two different friends to the meetings with her to help ask questions and absorb the information. I recommended that selling her home was probably a better option but she insisted that she wanted to stay in the home. When we scheduled the closing she mentioned that she was getting a Covid test in the morning but could do the closing later that day. I spoke with her a few times that week over the phone while she was home and she never mentioned hospitals. No one stole the home. She is still the only person on title and has ownership like before. If she doesn't want the reverse mortgage she can simply send back the check that she received and be out of it with no penalties. I wish you would speak to me on the phone so we could discuss this further. Thanks. John
