  Best shop in Union county, I showed up five minutes to close in dire need of gas money. Had to pawn my only guitar. Even though it was cracked they still helped me out. Since then I've been in several times and have been in awe of the friendly attitude sense of customer service I feel when there. This place is a true gem of a shop.

  Will never go back. Had time to sale my husband a gun but not time to show me a necklace out of the case. I asked him 3 times to see it and he said he would be right there but as soon as someone else came in to look at a gun he helped them and brushed me to the side. We can spend our money elsewhere

  Ms. Smith, all I can say is I apologize, I'm not sure if it was me or the other guy, I really don't recall the incident but that does mean it wasn't me. This past year has been the most hectic time we have ever had, but when it comes to our customers that is no excuse. I'm sorry you was treated that way and I understand your frustration.   They are absolutely amazing! Great prices and have many different types of items to buy. The owners are friendly and it is the best place to sell, pawn or purchase items. The store is nice and clean there's just a feeling of niceness and warmth when you walk in! Thank y'all for being the greatest pawn shop in Monroe!

  By far the BEST pawn shop in monroe!! I don't understand the negative post, but I guess everyone has a bad day. Every time I have been there I've been met with a warm greeting and willingness to help me. Bright CLEAN store that I feel comfortable in, the employees don't put up with any foul language which means a great deal to me! Keep up the great work.

  Could not agree more with the "Google user". Went to the shop to buy 2 pistols, they had both in the store. Had cash in pocket ready to purchase. I was the solo customer in the store, with 2 employees up front, and I think a third in the back they were talking to. They played with the radio, talked to each other, and completely ignored the fact that I was looking into the cases of merchandise. I realized I was not going to get help, and I remembered the review I read the night before, so I stood there for 15 minutes just curious if I would be acknowledged. I never was. No 'hello', no 'can I help you', and not even a 'goodbye' as I left. I was totally invisible. Drove straight to Gander and spent my money and time with friendly associates. Don't waste a trip to this place! Pathetic. Too bad zero stars is not an option.

  I am sorry you thought you were invisible. We always greet people as they enter and when they leave even if they did not do business with us. Often times the employees have numerous task to complete but the customer is first. You can always call and ask to speak with the manager in the future before posting a negative review. There are two sides to every incident. We have owned and operated this business since March of 2006 and take pride in our customer service. Again, without knowing any of the circumstances all I can do is apologize for your experience.

  Hands down the nicest people there. Absolutely always willing to help out with any questions for buying, selling or pawning your items. They are insanely knowledgeable and will gladly answer any questions you may have. There is no other pawn shop like this and we will never go to a different one.

  I had just moved to the area from out of state and hadn't been able to find a job yet. Rent was coming due and I needed cash. I didn't have anything but a handgun my father had given me as a christmas present. I called every pawn shop in a 30 miles radius and no one would pawn the gun, they would only buy it because my drivers license was out of state. Monroe Pawn and Gun was the only place who would help me. There are retired police force who work there so they are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. I was treated with the utmost courtesy and Monroe Pawn and Gun is the only pawn shop that will receive my business. I would recommend them to everyone!

  Best pawn shop in Monroe, staff is very friendly and helpful, they help me with all my questions with great attitude and smile on the face, looking for my next handgun and I know where I going to get it, Monroe Pawn & Gun!
