  This may seem minuscule and not a big deal for some people, but when your’e working in centralized banking I believe it’s actually quite a significant issue. The FSR I shadowed in the Chesbro branch had no clue what stable coins were…. I would also be doing myself an injustice for not letting you all become aware of how they feel about decentralized finance from a community outreach perspective. When I was shadowing a financial literacy course, the instructor of the session had stated “Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme”. Although I got a slight hint of her joking, I found the statement to be misinformed and quite frankly nonsensical. I mean there’s a variety of reasons BTC Is growing faster than the internet in terms of adoption and usage, but I’m only limited to so many characters within a post. They are promoting a simple 2.25% Annual APY for a premiere savings account which is fine don’t get me wrong, but if you are smart, you will download binance and stake BNB for 6% APY and compound/restake the rewards weekly for greater returns. Likewise you can stake Tether, (the most reputable stable coin) for up to 12% APY annually. You’re welcome.

  Very slow just bad all around they will charge you unless fees. They can't even answer there phones. I'll go to ussa they treat you right. Goodbye Goodluck staying in business

  I’m not an actual member here, but I do go to this location pretty frequently to conduct shared-branch transactions since this location is listed as a shared branch. My favorite employees here would probably be Denise & Yazmin, since I interact with them every time I go here and they’re pleasant every time! Anyway, the process for shared branching transactions is pretty easy. They basically have these little slips called “transaction request forms” in the slots on the tables next to the main entrance. You fill it out with your credit union’s name, your name, your member number, the account you wanna make a transaction on, & whether you’re making a deposit or withdrawal. After doing that, you just give the slip & a valid form of ID (anything federal or state works) to a teller and conduct your transaction! Service here is super great but it’s also really efficient.

  Worst experience as an customer of this bank for over a decade. They didn’t communicate with me when they had fraud activity on a card, they immediately closed it without my knowledge and said they sent a new card that I never received nor did I received a letter in the mail. I had to talk to multiple people and it still was not resolved by anyone. Now I have to go in to the main branch just to be able to get a new debit card and have any access to any of my funds. They will waste your time, make you not able to pay necessary bills, completely send you jumping through hoops with so solutions. Had I been traveling I would have had no money to access. They have absolutely no accountability for there actions. Stay far away and pick a real bank that has better security measures and actually will contact customers personally and through email when serious issues occur and not just by mail.

  They have changed bank hours due to Covid. That part is understandable. What is not understandable is that their hours are now 10am to 4pm Monday thru Friday and closed Saturday. News flash, all of the Meriwest customers are not old and retired or out of work. There are still many of us that have to work those hours. All of the other banks have modified their hours as well, but still made them reasonable. Since I now have to take time off of work to go to a branch, I will also be withdrawing all of my money from your bank.

  Many years ago, Meriwest was one of the Premier So. Bay Area Credit Unions. Sadly, times have changed. Customer Service has gone out the window. Constant, repetitive issues with our address being changed without our request, permission or approval. Debit cards being shut off due to fraudulent activity without any communication to the account holder. Check deposit issues. ATM issues. The list goes on and on. Beware, and consider investigating other Credit Union options before proceeding with Meriwest. I'm finally at the point where the convenience of this bank is not worth the hassles. I'm ready to switch AWAY from Meriwest.

  I would not recommend. Slow to fix issues- I had an issue that took a week to fix and I honestly thought it never would because I was being passed from one person to another.

  Recently ref-financed my home loan with Meriwest, their application process was clear, sample & fast. I worked with their mortgage loan consultant- Curtis Linville, he was very helpful, proactively informed me on the loan application/approval progress. Compared to my experience dealing with BoA - Meriwest offered better rate, much better customer service. I would recommend to my friends to switch from traditional bank to Meriwest Credit Union.

  After being a member for close to thirty years I reached out to meriwest to refinance two mortgages. When I got connected with a mortgage broker I was very prompt with all of my responses and could not get him to reply or pick up his phone. Very disappointing experience. Edit: he did eventually reply 4 days later after I posted this. But in a competitive situation that is still unacceptable.
