Phil The Pill3Until the last few years, Meritrust used to be good, and also easy to work with. Those days are gone. They don't answer phone calls as you will only be on hold forever, and they don't have a representative to answer queries. I live 80 miles from Meritrust so I need to get answers over the phone or Web. UPDATE: After being on the phone and waiting and waiting for someone to answer from Meritrust (which never happened) and having to listen to endless Meritrust commercials, I finally took the option to have someone call me back. It took a very long time to finally be called by a representative named "Debbie" who was very helpful and professional. She addressed my need in excellent fashion (I'll give an extra star for that). In addressing the owner's reply in this review (which I appreciate), the problem isn't with "the team", the problem is that there are not enough staff or something similar to address customer needs. Corporate is the problem, not "the team". By the way, after you log in, the "chat" feature is located at the top right and there is no "bubble", just the text "EM Virtual Assistant". I had never noticed the Chat feature, even though I've been a Meritrust customer for I think, at least 3 decades.

Trenton Buhler1Do not do business with this Credit Union. They offered assistance due to Covid for my family. They assured me they had skipped our loan payment for the month only for me to find a late charge and past due amounts for the loan the next month. They then proceeded to tell me that the person who gave me the go ahead and was suppose to have taken care of it didn't have the authority so they just let me end up with late fees and missed payments on my account. Then when they said they could check to see if it was in fact their fault they just said they would make sure the person got the training they needed, but didn't do a thing to fix the mess up on my account. This is terrible business especially during hard times as these. We've been great loan customers with them for years. Not after this pandemic is over. Not any more.

Katie Kat1I will never come back, fees after fees and they “work with you” and they “help you” especially since covid hit? More like no, bad enough I live paycheck to paycheck and half the time can’t even do that because they take so much money from people it’s not even funny. Will be banking elsewhere so I can actually pay my bills and hopefully be able to buy food for once.

Bucky Barnes1would leave negative stars if I could.... this place has wasted months of my time trying to get a loan from them! they required a letter I needed but had no way to provide! I've been a loyal member for 9 years and have borrowed money many times and always made on time payments!! this bank doesn't care about customer loyalty or helping someone out. all they care about is making their interest off of their investment! I realize that is what banks do but in a better world maybe banks wouldn't have to be that way! all I can say is theo wasted much of my time by not being available or calling me back! I just have to let ppl know that of you need a home loan or any type of borrowed money look elsewhere..... I will be!

Megan Cartwright1They are refusing to cooperate with Army regulations, they have terrible customer service with rude employees, and they are money hungry. It’s bad enough they are breaking Army regulations and refusing to cooperate with customs, now they are making us chase them and play phone tag. I wish we never banked with them for our auto loan. If you’re considering this bank, best advice is to just go to USAA, they are at least honest and not total snakes. 🤷🏻♀️

DeWayne Kitchen1Traveling out on the road out of state. Had to use an ATM machine, by no fault of my own. Thought it sucked the ATM charged me $3.00 then several days later Meritrust charges me a fee. I Call and ask about it, I get told they can't help it. I told them the circumstances and the young man says they have to maintain the ATMs. WOW I find it hard to believe that Meritrust is paying for some bank's ATM in Missouri.
