Friendly staff is hard to find anywhere these days, but when I walk in here it is a different story. They always have the most sincere smiles and I love seeing them! I can't imagine anyone walking out of here not feeling better about their day than when they walked in! If you need help banking I'd suggest getting it here rather than from a company pushing digital ways to get serviced faster, nothing beats a real person helping you make real decisions that can impact your whole life and they have never had anything but my best interests in mind!

I bank with this credit union a personal, joint, and business account. My main reason for selecting this credit union is because of how close it is to my house. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable but the overall experience gives me that of 1996. You can’t view/access your account number without requesting it or coming into the branch and the app reminds me of 2009. I’m strongly considering closing these accounts and going somewhere that has a strong presence with 2022. I just spent 30 min doing an online chat with Latesha for her to tell me I can’t get my account number until Tuesday because the credit union will be closed Monday. I didn’t think my matter was a large enough matter to have to wait until the branch opens. I only wanted my account number

Abel made the car loan process easy from the beginning. We've had bad experiences before when it comes to car financing through car dealerships. We're so glad we went through MFCU and very fortunate to work with Abel. Thanks, Abel!

Set my appointment with them, and came back 2 days later as planned. They were ready with a smile. There loan officers had great communication skills and broke down everything in the paper work.

Went in to ask for a loan, got guaranteed by the person that helped me that I would be approved. Then 2 days later I called to see where the application was at… he said they still needed a couple things. I never received a call from him or the credit union about missing things for the application. Then not even an hour later they call me and knock off 6 grand and say “we can only approve you for that amount.” They never even received my missing paystubs… ARE PEOPLE’S LIVES A JOKE TO YOU GUYS? How are students and people that start out supposed to build credit when people won’t respect you when starting out?!

I would highly suggest that anyone using Members First Credit Union stop using them and switch to another bank. This bank can’t get there phone app correct. Can’t respond to emails in a months time frame. Doesn’t even get my emails! Can’t communicate with each other about agreements that were made prior with clients and keep there commitments. I would strongly suggest changing banks because things are on the down hill. I have friends who left recently and I will be doing the same. At times they show care and appreciation but it’s after long amounts of unwanted stress that is not needed.

I just became a member not long ago I have had good and bad experiences. Good thing is I always get right in and out. Bad thing another member had bills coming out of my account and money coming into my account I had to go there and call the very next week for the same issue. Also not so helpful with getting personal loans or refinancing an auto loan which was brought to my attention by their loan officer. Kind of like a bank to me rather than a credit union.

I have been a member for 38 years, started with them when I was in the Marines back when it was Grand Rapids Federal Employees Credit Union located in the GR Press Building. In all those years I have never had a bad experience. I have had several loans with them over the years, have always been treated with respect, never had a problem with them which couldn't be resolved. This last change with the merger has not affected my perception of the credit union, I still get the personal touch, professionalism and friendliness I have received all these years and that is why I will still stay a member.

I had been with Fedcom before they consolidated with Members First. I was with them since 2008. I loved the point ideas they had an got some services free, however when they changed I was not so pleased with the new changes. I will keep my account there and see what else they have to offer for now. I also have a direct express card and I wish they didnt charge 10 dollars to get my money off the card. If they took that away then I would be very happy. I would give them 5 stars then
