  From the first call to research mortgage pre-approval, through closing, Melissa and her team were the most responsive, professional staff I've dealt with. We needed a loan within 3 weeks and coverage while we waited for our old home to sell. Melissa creatively designed a solution for us to meet our deadline, while protecting our cash flow until the old home sold. It seemed each time my curiosity was thinking about an update, Melissa proactively reached out to provide the information. She ensured our documents were submitted and processed timely on an extremely short closing process. Melissa and her team worked diligently to secure the closing process with time to spare.   The home buying process can be very overwhelming and confusing, especially for first time home buyers. Melissa and her team were happy to answer any of my and my husband's questions from the beginning of the process. I didn't expect the process to go so quickly for us, but Melissa and her team were on top of everything to ensure we had the proper documents to move forward with our loan. There was frequent, kind communications from all on her team. I'd highly recommend them to anyone in the D.C. area looking to purchase a home, especially first time home buyers. With rent prices in the area, you are better off buying, in my opinion. It also may be a lot more attainable than you may imagine, and Melissa and her team can have an initial consultation call with you to help you with pre-approval before you start looking for a home. That's what we did, and I'm happy we did because our mortgage is much less than any of our rent payments over the past several years, and we have so much space and love our new home. Thanks Melissa and McClean Mortgage for being part of our process!

  Melissa is beyond a Mortgage Lender, Melissa is a very very BIG ASSET to everyone’s home buying process. She was absolutely a blessing to have along our journey. Melissa carefully walked us through the process without us feeling overwhelmed and or forced to do anything we did not want to happen.   I was referred to Melissa Bell by a realtor friend of mine. Melissa made my VA mortgage re-finance very easy. She was very responsive and was able to lock me into a great rate in a very short period of time. The secure online portal to upload documents and correspond with her through the process was simple to use and efficient. No hiccups at closing either. Very straight forward.
