  I had been a Chase/Wells Fargo customer for 13 years. I had NO idea all of the benefits of joining a credit union until I had to find a new bank, due to a new location. I found MFCU and will never go back. Marine Federal is so personable and helpful. Real people are constantly available to help whether it’s chat, on the phone, at a branch, or at a Live Teller. I just financed my car and my interest rate is more than HALF of what it was through Wells Fargo.

  It is the first Monday after payday and there are 2 tellers working. There were 3, but 1 was told to go something else when there were 3 people in line. When she walked away there were 8 people waiting. Not very customer oriented behavior.

  The WORST credit union known to man kind. Allowed suspicious transactions to clear on my account and I never received assistant or new information and they closed the account. The call center is a joke and full of incompetent individuals. The worst service and should be ​immediately. Take your business elsewhere.

  My wife and I live on her disability and my social security. She is 65 I am 64. We owed MFCU $75 and change. We barely were going to make it through this month with what we had till my check was deposited they took the we $75 out of our account. Now there is no way we will be able to make it till my check comes I am deaf and can't find a job to supplement our income. Plus she has MS. Plus they said they would fix a stop payment the scam artist got our money out of our account. Never did

  Warning about this place. I opened an account for my son here about 10yrs ago. He turns 20 next month. I’ve been working with my son yo build his credit. About 4 months ago I co signed a truck with him and about 7- months ago he open a credit card. He’s been paying his card through Marine Fedrral account. All the sudden this month a month before he turn 20 they stopped him from paying his credit card payment. So I called them, they didn’t want to help me told me I had to come in with my wife a sign some stuff. Why didn’t they tell me this when I was co signing a loan with my son? I’ve been in the bank plenty of times and they didn’t say anything to me. Instead they just stopped my son from making a payment and are going to hurt his credit. They were rude over the phone and told me this was my fault. I had no clue that his account had to be updated. Why did it take the bank 7- months for them to stop this if he wasn’t suppose to be doing it in the 1st place. I thought they were suppose to help my son build his credit not hurt his credit. I’m still at a lost on what to do. 3/8/21 Update, never got a call after this post. These People really don’t care. My son has opened an account at Navy Federal. I will be closing all my accounts here sometime soon

  I think they are a good little bank. Been pretty easy to work with. I only closed my account because I moved to a state where they don't have any locations. I have had cards with them and car loans, everything was fine. Pretty standard credit union. Fairly easy to work with when ever things came up.

  1.15 pm 12/10/21 The person covering for the regular receptionist is demeaning, interruptive, and unhelpful. An elderly customer came in not understanding a pin number and she treated her like a child. Someone needs to educate this person on customer service skills.

  I hate the new "Finicity" for express payment(s). I use to be able to enter my routing, and account number manually now I have to find my bank, then try to login and I can not login. I hope this new update is used to get the 3% from customer's by making payments by phone. If so, some may consider turning in their car to the bank, and stop making payments on their car. When I made a payment by phone, I was asked for my routing number, and account number. So, the representative has access to enter the account and routing number to make my payment, but I have to search for my bank and log into my other bank using Marine federal site.

  Awful bank. Awful service. They closed nearly all of there branch locations and replaced them with "live teller" ATMs. They are miserable. They hardly EVER work. Trying to do anything with this bank is a miserable chore you are better off choosing literally ANY other bank.
