  We had a great experience working with Shelbi and her team. It can be stressful to buy a home but she made it easy by communicating with us every step of the way, setting realistic expectations and making sure we understood all parts of the transaction. Additionally, Lusk Mortgage Group is a broker, and this meant that Shelbi had access to many different lenders and products. We knew we were getting not only the best rate but more importantly, that everything would close on time. I would recommend Shelbi and her team to anyone who is looking for a mortgage.

  An amazing team to work with. I gave them a budget and they made it happen. Very accommodating. Communication is top notch. Never in my wildest dreams did I think buying a house would be as relatively easy as it was and I have this team, in part, to thank for it.

  Thank you so much for all your work Lusk Mortgage team! I am So thankful to have worked with Shelbi, Stacey and Christine during my home buying process. I first contacted them on a referral from a friend a couple years ago. Even though I wasn’t eligible then, they worked with me over time to ensure I was taking the right steps towards becoming an eventual homeowner! They are kind, patient and informative. I truly felt like they were advocating for my dream come true and I could not recommend them highly enough! Working with a local mortgage team over a large bank made the process achievable and now Im a highly empowered single mother and elated homeowner. 🙌

  Shelbi's customer service skills are severely lacking. If I could give her zero stars, I would. We worked with Shelbi back in July 2021 and eventually had to move to a different mortgage company. While the field appraisal that caused issues in our closing was out of Shelbi's control, how she handled the situation after, was. We, her customer, didn't even know a field appraisal had been done nor that it had caused an issue with our closing until right before 5:00 p.m. ON CLOSING DAY - even though she had known of the trouble a couple of hours prior. While she did try and get a hold of our realtor OVER an hour after having the information and was unable to reach him - We should have been called next and were not. Actually, we should have been called as soon as she was aware that there was a problem - before trying to find a solution. After all, we were her clients, not our realtor. We defaulted on our contract because she waited until 5:00 p.m. to let us know. We may have defaulted anyway, but her lack of communication robbed us of the chance to work something out with the sellers prior to defaulting. We ended up losing the house and our earnest money! Her true character showed during the most stressful time. We had to scramble to find another home. She did offer to file a formal complaint to try and get our appraisal fee back. But here we sit nearly 4 months later and have not heard a peep from her....despite sending a follow-up email to her on Nov 5th ( 11 days ago) asking what the results of the investigation was. It's easy to be perceived as great when all things are going well, but it's who you are and what you do when the situation goes awry that really matters. She lacks professionalism and I couldn't recommend her to my worst enemy.

  Shelbi was great to work with us. She talked to us every time we contacted her. Her staff is helpful and courteous. We could not be happier. Our daughter has also used Shelbi and Lusk mortgage and has been very pleased with there services too. Both our families would highly recommend them.

  Choosing a broker is a big decision and should not be taken lightly. The professional you decide to partner with should be knowledgeable, competent, and genuine. Shelbi and her team are all of those things and more. Beyond that though, the relationship I have built with Shelbi over the years is invaluable to me. She is always available as a resource for any questions I may have. She also goes out of her way to help others in our communities feel educated and empowered with their financial decisions.   Shelbi Lusk was amazing from start to finish, and her team was stellar. She was incredibly personable and professional, and made me feel at ease through the entire home-buying process. From the first steps of pre-approval through final closing and after, she has been there any time I had any questions, and I felt that she truly valued my financial security in a home. I truly cannot recommend her highly enough!

  I have loved working with Shelbi and her team. Every step of the mortgage process was made easy. They took their time to explain every step and answer my many questions. They worked around my teacher schedule (at the end of the school year at that). Shelbi and team even have followed up after the closing of the mortgage and have served as a great point of contact post-closing if I had questions and always knew which direction to point me.

  The experience with Shelbi was at first great. One day it was going good and like a light switch it ended really quickly, due to a fabricated story told to our now former agent about my husband and myself disrespecting either her or her staff. I was so confused as I thought things were going so well, so I genuinely called the office twice to gain understanding as to what happened, but never received a response. Even extended a courtesy email - no response. I'm sure she is the greatest , but we were told two different stories via hearsay as to why she decided to go ghost. It did not sit well with me. Low rating due to the unprofessional way to end things based off lies. Wish her best though 🤷🏿‍♀️
