      I sent on my paper work to open a savings account and to start process for a personal loan over a month ago at two weeks I called the location because I never heard back after receiving email that they have received my paperwork and would contact me after review. I spoke with Ms Dorothy she was absolutely amazing and very helpful. I was told I would get a call back that day before close of business. Well that was two weeks ago I still haven’t heard anything from them. At this point I’m not sure if I need to contact another credit union to help us out.

      I have had a good experience with Lone Star CU in the past, but I recently referred someone to them for a vehicle loan and they have dragged out the loan app for over a month - mostly because they just will not return phone calls. The loan dept is either grossly understaffed or just doesn’t care about customers. Either way, it is a very bad experience. I highly do not recommend them. I’ll update my review if things change in the near future. *** Update *** I was contacted by a manager at Lone Star CU within a few hours of posting my original 2 star review. She apologized for the way my referral was treated and promised to resolve the situation immediately - and she did. The loan rep contacted my referral within a couple of hours and got started on finalizing the loan. The loan is now complete and the loan rep stayed in touch as expected during the last few days of the process. I think they are working through process changes resulting from limited staffing, hours, etc. due to the pandemic. I will definitely use and refer them again.

      Once again, my friends at LSCU have came thru for me. Miss Darlene Hilton, is truly amazing 👏! These folks really do care about their customers. They are truly someone that I can trust. I never feel embarrassed talking with these people, because they know how I feel, & they WANT TO HELP. If you need an extended family, in your life right now, call these folks, talk to them. I'm a customer for life with LSCU. God bless ALL.

      Let me tell you something my friends. These folks have been an absolute blessing to me! I've been with them for a while now. Miss Darlene Hilton, is an angel 😇in disguise! You know nowadays, people don't care about others, just themselves. But, it's not like that here at LSCU. They know how things are right now, & they empathize with their customers & clients. And I'm grateful 🙏that I'm able to be a part of this organization. Because, they've been good me. And I so appreciate their kindness.

      Great credit union! We've been members for over 15 years and recommend to anyone who is tired of paying all the fees charged by big banks. A big perk for members is the fact that Lone Star CU deposits our SSI immediately. Big banks hold posting to your account to earn money on your deposits. Not Line Star!

      Don’t call to handle business after being told someone will call you in an hour or so. I am no longer ever to have an account there because it’s harassment. Harassment to make sure your business is taken care of.

      The systems and computers are down almost every time i visit- however, they have a great overdraft privilege if you choose it- if you are at a zero cash balance in checking but you have money in your savings, they will just take from your savings so you will not incur any over draft fees. I think that's pretty awesome.

      The people were not exactly friendly and bluntly turned us away. All we asked was if they honored the same refinancing percentages as advertised by the same Lone Star Credit Union in another State.

      Long time member, but very disappointed in the credit union's execution of the changeover from one core system to another. Information was inadequate and help was unavailable. Also had issue with credit union not being able to locate proof of insurance when I refinanced a vehicle. Paid off vehicle over a month ago, and have yet to receive clear title.
