  The tax preparer kept asking for a tip, which struck me as unethical considering the nature of the work. I was concerned about if I needed to file AMT, and no one in the office knew what it was, then they started telling me I don’t need to based on things that were clearly irrelevant. The preparer did call the main office where they said their system would calculate it automatically if it was required. Based on their lack of knowledge, I wanted them to look at the worksheet on the IRS website together so we could confirm, and they refused to look at it. I had to go back to get an actual copy of my taxes because they didn’t give it to me when we filed them. Apparently they hadn’t submitted it yet. When I got my taxes, I did the worksheet myself, and it seems I don’t need to file AMT, but the way they handled it in the office left me the impression they really don’t know anything about tax law, but are just trained how to fill in numbers on a computer system. This was the first time I used a service to file my taxes, and next time I need to, I may be looking for a CEO or tax accountant who is more knowledgeable. They did find credits I didn’t realize I was eligible for at least. When I tried to do it at home, I thought I owed $15,000 and panicked. They came up with me owing $62, so overall it was still worth the cost of having it done. I gave two stars because of attitude and knowledge of the people who worked there, but since it largely relies on the computer system, that is worth something.

The tax preparer made it as a joke when he saw you were very worried about your taxes, we made every possible effort to show you that your concerns doesn't apply in your situation. We were confident about our work, but we still called the Liberty Tax Corporate office in front of you just to try to make you feel comfortable. Our team in this office committed to help our clients in the best way and file their taxes right.

  Best Liberty Tax Service in Milwaukee, WI! I filed my taxes here for the first time and it was a great experience. They were patient, generous and very informative. I will definitely be returning next year!

  This liberty tax service is better than any tax preparer I've ever been. I love the feel when I first walked in. The greeter wore a big beautiful smile. He looked like he was ready to help take care of all my needs. He was so kind and friendly. I enjoyed chatting with him. I loved how he went far and beyond to make sure I understand what was going on. The office itself was comfortable and clean and so welcoming. Drinks, candy and chips for customers to help themselves to while they wait. Such friendly service from all the staff. I know and feel the excellent layout of the office is because, these good young men care about their customers, and strive to provide all the best service possible.   I filed my taxes in April of this year and asked about filling the injured spouse form that I've filed in the past. The tax preparer informed me no and went to a coworker several times to confirm what he was doing. 6 months later I get a letter from the IRS about intercept. After calling around, I'm informed that I need to file the injured spouse form. I call Liberty who tells me that I have to pay a $50 dollar fee. After asking if the fee can be waived or cut in half because this was a mistake on their part, the manager Anar, tells me that he'll do it for free then says I need to pay the fee because he doesn't believe that the tax preparer told me no. I'm going to pay the fee because I'm in great need of the funds. I've called corporate to file a complaint and I hope they get professionals in there for the future. I will NEVER file my taxes with them nor recommend them due to their lack of understanding of their job/duties on top of the lack of providing acceptable customer service.

  The people here are very professional. They know what they are doing and always look ready to help a customer help. Every question I asked I either had Jaber or Ammar answer them for me to the best of their knowledge. I usually don’t care about the price I pay to file since a professional is doing it for me, but the price here is very good! I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to file their taxes as well as anyone who is looking for a new tax office to file at.
