  As a first time home buyer I didn’t know what to expect when securing a mortgage. My wife and I were introduced to Eagle Home Mortgage and Matthew Taylor via the Selling Agent for Lennar Homes. Matthew Taylor was fantastic during the entire process and consistently kept my wife and I up-to-date on the process and status of our loan. From getting pre-qualified to closing we were thrilled with the service we received from Matthew. Overall securing a mortgage via Eagle Home Mortgage was quick and painless and for a first time home buyer my wife and I couldn’t be more satisfied!

  I’m a first time home buyer and I was falsely misled by Eagle Home Mortgage through Lennar Homes. They allowed me to pursue a home that was double the amount I qualified for without my knowledge. Now that everything is said and done and I am able to reflect on what occurred, and I understand that what they did was 100% disgusting and inhumane. The morning of closing was chaotic. Required documents were still not submitted to the processor despite my multiple attempts at sending them. To my knowledge all paperwork should have been done at least 48 hours before the day of closing. The day of closing I did my celebration walk and was extremely excited to be told everything looked good document wise and that the only thing needed to be done was signing the closing documents. That was quickly shut down when 10 minutes after leaving the celebration walk I was receiving calls about additional documents needed that were either already sent numerous times or never discussed about needing in the first place. At this point it was about 10am and I was being bombarded with phone calls and emails, while trying to move my entire apartment complex into the Uhaul. Upon arrival a few hours later to closing at 12:30pm at the Eagle Home Mortgage Company on the Northside of Indianapolis. Eagle Home allowed me and my sister who was on the title to sign closing documents despite not being done with some underwriting issues, and further insisted my sister, my girlfriend, and I take $60 and go spend time away getting food because they were not done with underwriting. Around 3:30pm I began to get slightly worried because it had been awhile and I had heard nothing back. I texted a Eagle Home loan officer I had been in contact with and he exclaimed not to worry and that they were finishing up and would be done in the next 20 minutes and I would for sure be getting the keys to my new home today. 20 minutes soon turned into 2 hours filled with excuse after excuse as to why there was extreme delay. After 6 hours out at Keystone at the Crossing, a 45 minutes drive away from the actual home. I was told I couldn’t close on that day by my real estate agent because of a miscommunication about my job verification. I then called Eagle Home Mortgage and they said my new closing was Monday at 3pm, mind you it was currently Friday. After a weekend of more excuses and lies, and having to stay at a hotel, being essentially homeless. Monday at 1:00 pm I was told I couldn’t get the house. Essentially because of “COVID” (which was a lie). I am now homeless living out of a hotel until I find a place for me and my family to stay, including a newborn baby and four small children. I am at loss of words. I feel betrayed and extremely taken advantage of. What these people did was completely sickening and inhumane. I DO NOT recommend anyone to work with EAGLE HOME MORTGAGE. Please.. save yourself!

  The whole process from start to finish was great! As a first time home buyer I had a LOT of questions, they were all answered promptly. I was expecting it to be overwhelming but it really was quite easy.

  Most sketchy company I have seen in a while. They do not follow any law and has most unethical loan practice. I was given denial telling that since I was self employed and sold my business in less than 2 years can't qualify for house loan even though I had steady work history for last 7 years. I have requested denial letter stating that and it's been 2 month since then and haven't received anything. They are partnered with Lennar homes and runs this nonsense business and practice. I have already filed complaint to the right department and waiting for the answer.
