Legacy Bank Reviews

RizeMojo roach1Went to cash my check and they told me I had to deposit it, and make sure it clears when I've had an account there for a year or two, I needed food and gas. But if I deposited and automatic charges woulda gone through first. Closing my account with them tomorrow. I've also had continuous problems with their online services. I would recommend community credit union over them.

J. Mac Jordan1I've banked w Legacy since it was Farmer's Savings Bank. In the past 12-18mo., however, I have never encountered more questionable actions by this bank than the 20yrs. prior. They transitioned to the Google Play store for an account management app - wiped all configs from the previous system, but not 3rd party access, or scheduled transfers. Things like auto-emails, balance warnings that have been set. The app login is your SS#! and after being forced to transmit your SS# to login through an app, I'm still locked out! Not to mention the cliffs Legacy has repeatedly drive me off. They will float a transaction for you...selectively & for a cost of $30+. That's great; every single other Bank or CC I've ever encountered does not do this - why? Because it's a process of churning high interest fees in any economy of microtransactions. The latest cliff, a streaming rental $3.00 & a $30 overage. An auto-withdrawel of $7 ...& a $30 overage! Thanks for floating $10 for me; $70 is all? Gee thanks! They did the same thing to me week prior, & a $grand deposit depleted? I don't spend that much! It was fees! I cannot help but think Legacy is engaged in some type of churning, some type of exploitative behavior. Covering $10 for a day and a half for $60! That's a 750% interest rate. That's worse that a check cashing service. That's worse than the mob! So, unless you are ok getting bilked out of your money, until the authorities have descended on whatever criminal syndicate Legacy has become involved in or whomever the manager has generated enormous gambling debts with (?), until that is figured out, I don't recommend banking here. Eyes forward when driving by, who knows what you might see. And pray for me; I'm posting this review. I don't know if I'm risking my life or my knee-caps or what... It's just so flagrant and egregious! And for some reason, I can talk to a bank in DE past 5:30p; MI past 5:30, no problem. I rarely need to for either - their online services work flawlessly. The bank sitting less than a mile down the street - not a chance. No phonecalls, no internet access, no email alerts...you are blind for 12+ hrs. Tl;Dr - this is not a good bank at all imo.
