  Bought a car last week using a cashiers check. The seller and I went to the Troy branch together and everyone was very helpful. Not only providing my cashiers check but they also offered to provide copies of all the selling documents and title as well. If you’re ever needing to go into the Troy branch ask for Suma, she is awesome! She was very helpful, nice, and friendly. Also shot out to the manager Jeremy over there as well. Very nice person as well!

  Trying to pay on a loan has become the biggest hassle I could imagine. Online banking is a joke. Every time I tried to log in, it wouldn't let me create an account. Then when I finally was able to, after multiple attempts and multiple calls, it wouldn't let me set up a payment from another bank. It's just a hassle. No one can give a clear answer about anything.

  Lake Michigan Credit Union is awesome. I joined for only $5 and was not required to be an employee of a company or the government or anything like that. Jeremy was awesome.. He was very professional and the atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. Jeremy may have just been doing his job, which is hard to find in customer service these days. But, to me he went above and beyond the call of duty to service me and get me approved for the credit card. My score was okay, but my debt-to-credit ratio was high because I didn't have any credit. Now thanks to Jeremy I can increase my credit score by building my credit at a low interest rate instead of the ridiculously high 24% interest rates that other credit card companies want to charge. I am so ecstatic about my future. Thank you soo much Lake Michigan Credit Union and a special thanks to Jeremy.

  I went into the branch because I required assistance in making some account changes for an account that my father had set up. Kristi Forbes was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was able to answer all of my questions and assisted me with the changes that I needed to have done. Subsequent to my visit, I had some additional questions and left her a voicemail. She was super prompt in returning my call and again she was very informative and helped me understand the areas I was unclear on. I would say that Kristi sets the standard for excellence in customer service!

  I started using Lake Michigan Credit Union when I lived in Grand Rapids for a short while. I have nothing but impeccable service from their staff. They helped me get out of a high interest rate I was locked in with a credit card and an auto loan. Customer service in person at the Troy branch was not great. Seemed everyone thought someone else was helping me, but I was just waiting for assistance. Other than that I have nothing but good things to say. I highly recommend doing business with Lake Michigan Credit Union.

  The best bank I have ever been to. I'm also a Private Bank member at a competing company and the service I get here is impeccable and second to none. The bank manager, Jeremy Schubert, the tellers, and everyone else I've been in communication with have the best personality, service, and commitment to all of their customers. Highly recommend to anyone looking to bank with a credit union!!

  Agent named Jason almost cost us getting a home instead of helping us buy one. He had no idea how to handle an FHA loan when he said he did and instead of just admitting he had no idea what he was doing he prolonged our whole process by 3 months and nearly screwed us out of a house. I went to a different agent who is a veteran in the game and he got me approved and in a house within 2 weeks . I highly recommend NOT using lake Michigan credit Union and going somewhere that has agents that are masters at what they do.

  I have been banking with LMCU for last 1 year and I can say I am a very satisfied customer. All the staff members I have worked with at this branch has been very helpful and responsive, especially Craig. He is not only knowledgeable but also very polite and will work with you to fulfill your banking needs. Also, during my whole mortgage process, Matt was very supportive and kept updating me during the whole process. Overall, switching my banking business to LMCU has been a very good experience and I do recommend them.

  LMCU by far is the worst branch I have ever seen. There customer service is horrible. They never answer the phones and you always get transferred to the hotline where someone that answers your call might be from another country. My suggestion is - turn the lights off and call the Bulldozers in and turn that location into a parking lot !

  Matt Adler is the best loan agent I know of. Super quick, efficient, and lowest rate around. I'd recommend asking Matt about a home loan any day.
