L&N Federal Credit Union Reviews

Lynn R1I had been a loyal customer for over 30 years. Checking, savings, credit cards, loans, mortgage, signed my kids up for accounts and co signed their loans. Referrals made. Absolutely loved them...until an unfortunate event caused us to default on home. They FORCED me to close accounts not related that I had for over 30 years which I did NOT want to do. I guess I expect more out of loyalty and continued business more than them. Too bad they turned me sour against them. Still remember going to L&N yard when bank was in a trailer.

Josh Hummel2Very disappointed in my last visit with this branch. Being a member 15+ years with them I’ve had no real complaints. I guess my issues is that they refused to cash a check for me that they’ve had no problems cashing in the past. But now it’s an issue or concern? I don’t understand what the apprehension would be considering they’ve cashed them for, with higher monetary value several times before. I’ve never tried to cash any counterfeit checks or anything crazy. I just expected my credit Union to treat me like a member and not so much like a criminal trying to get over. The lady spoke to me as if I should feel fortunate just to be a member. I didn’t appreciate this considering Walmart will cash the thing for 20 bucks! I’m really hopeful this was just a one time occurrence and the growth of this credit Union isn’t eroding their loyalty to their members low, middle and high income.

kristin estes5My son & I went in to start up new accounts with L&N. I was at my other bank 29 years but they moved and it became an issue with getting there before they closed they only have 2 locations in Louisville. So I’ve looked around and chose them. Everyone was very friendly to us, & helpful. Ms, Bonnie Carwile was so kind, knowledgeable, & helpful with us. I was nervous being I’ve been at my other back since I was 13. Though once we got into her office and began I immediately relaxed she’s a breath of fresh air. And a day later she sent us both welcoming/thank you cards! Places of businesses doesn’t usually go out of their way to send you welcoming cards, etc.

John Keeling5Been here going on 6 years now. Probably the best bank I've ever been too. Always very prompt on services or problems that need fixed, and very friendly. Reminds me of a old fashion home town bank, all the branches make you feel as if they have known you and your family for years. ..

Ryan Finley5I have used this bank since I old enough to make a bank account, and I have never had a problem. Always friendly, never a long wait, and a hassle free experience. Plus they have a few benefits you can't find at many other banks. When my debit card was getting too scratched up, they made me a replacement in 15 minutes. Even their website is super convenient, great bank and great people!

Anon Banker1Terrible place to work. Everyone was previously working remote, but leadership forced everyone to go back to the office to fill the brand new, excessively large, building they had constructed. Now there are people showing up to work WITH COVID, and they're just being ASKED to work remote. They don't have to, and everyone else is still being forced to work in the office. Requiring people to work in the office, just so the CEO Chris Brown can walk around and see his fancy new space filled with workers, while most of the board and leadership works remote anyway is disgusting. You don't risk the lives of your workers just so you can feel powerful, you monsters. Don't even get me started on all the shady fees, constant account/card issues, and other problems.

Cherie Walker5Tammie at the McMahon Branch off Breckenridge Lane helped me build my credit up after a divorce and it saved my house and life. Best service in town! Could not say enough positive things about Tammie or Kim!

hilde Wright1Even though I love lnfcu since 1984 I hate hate hate their phone answering setup. Not just a one time issue but each time I call. 36, 24, 19 calls waiting at any given time. When you leave a call back number you may get called next day. Waited 18 minutes on a Saturday to speak to loan officer in Erlanger. Person finally took a message for her to call me back. This was over a week ago. So many branches and ONE call center? Seriously, please make positive changes toward good customer service. Why don't you do bridge loans?
