KeyBank Reviews

Ali Turner1Over the years my experience with Key has been horrid. From a check being deposited in and directly out due to teller inputting my acct. number in twice. An initial attitude that It had to be the other bank or myself that did something; because key doesn’t make mistakes ! Followed by a several overdraft fees that took over a month of back and forth calls to get removed. Then a banker looking at my account and telling me I should pack my lunch. Apparently if you overdraft they feel obligated to tell you how to handle your money. Mind you it was changes for 2$ and not everyday. Most of my issues stem from the Stow location. The most convenient location. Otherwise Id opt to Patron another locations . I deposited money into the ATM. The cash got stuck. I went inside obviously upset. I told one of the bank tellers. Her response was to come out an accuse me of putting an envelope in the ATM. We went back and forth about three times; her accusations and my emphatic denial. Turns out I had. Mind you it was small enough to be concealed in between bills. That apparently made it so she could turn something upsetting even more upsetting. What was I gaining. Nothing. A cash deposit not being available for 3 days. I had to call KeyBank 1800 to file a dispute. That person completely disputed the wrong thing. Some how getting ATM at KeyBank confused with gas stations charge; not even a similar amount. This further delayed the 3 day wait for my cash. Since this situation this particular bank teller has tried to tell me I can use the ATM for deposits. As if I am unaware of that. Id would prefer to use the ATM. But that ATM like to spit my money back out at me. That has been the case on multiple occasions. She has extended my time while depositing by not asking what I need. Even though the deposit slip and the cash given did not match. Most recently now that they don’t do deposit slips unless you want to buy them; shorting me by 100$. I can understand trying to save money but this just opens up other issues. Maybe it was an accident. Maybe her trying to get one over. Luckily I don’t trust her and checked before I left the window. She wanted to send me on my way and call me after she counted the draw. That blew my mind. Ive tried to complain the 1800 number. I am told to contact the manager; I have. I got the Im sorry. Most recently three overdrafts hit. Which was reconciled. The first should never have happened. And because I didn’t want the banks mistaken overdraft to count against my account for the “one removal of overdraft a year” the bank decided she should turn the situation onto my fault. Because I don’t have overdraft protection. I am writing this to inform others; you are not be alone in the lack of compassion or empathy this company has for their customers. People considering this bank I hope this helps.

Johnny1Having sat with Anya Antovich was the worst experience in my banking history. 💯 fake personality. She starts off very nice, speaking about her last name possibly Lithiuian heritage, then becomes super nosy and unprofessional. Wish i had an appointment with the Asian banker Sandy instead. Really had a horrible experience with Anya that was something so simple to help me with turned out to be a struggle. In the end took my business elsewhere.
Response from the ownerHi Johnny - We appreciate your feedback. If you need assistance with anything else, please email us at [email protected] and reference case #72614 in your review. ^SH

Alex McMahan1Monthly charges to your account and terrible customer service. I made a mistake in my banking (clearly on me) and their customer service did not try to at least placate in of my issues or genuinely care for me. Save yourself and choose a different bank.

Julius Hess5Great customer service not only at this Stow location but all Key branches I've been to. They know me by name and always go out of their way to go above and beyond. I've also always had good experiences with calling the 800 number when there were routine questions.
Response from the ownerThank you so much for taking the time to write this great review Julius! We appreciate your business, and we are here to help if you ever need us. Have a great day!^CH
