Sal Sciabarrasi1This Bank is a complete DISASTER ! Every month it's a mess trying to make an auto loan payment. At one point they had the complete wrong information and I was told I had to come into a branch to fix it. BIG issue was that is the branch was closed due to covid ! Now today I receive a demand letter for my Auto loan payment in full in the next 7 days or they will repossess my truck . Problem with that is IM NOT IN DEFAULT ON MY LOAN. Jovia is a small bank I'm sure they can yell down the hall or over to the next desk to get things straight on there part. Its 2020 and they still use payment books ! Last bank I had I clicked a button and the loan was payed for the month. With Jovia you have to make 20 calls a day and pay a 5 dollar charge to pay your loan. I will be looking to refinance before Jovia destroys my credit and you can rest assure I will be hiring an attorney if they repossess my truck and I'm not in DEFAULT of my loan ! STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS DISASTER OF A BANK !

Candace DiPeri1Absolute WORST bank in the world! I make my car payments on time every month AND pay over the min due. I went to make a payment 6 months ago and it said i was 2 months behind. I speak to a different rep everyday, and they give different answers each time. I have all of my proof of payments including confirmation numbers from them yet they still say i didnt pay one month, as to which month, it switches per rep. The report to my credit monthly that i missed a payment which i have NOT. I have been trying to speak to someone who can help since May, it is the end of Sept. They keep sendng me to this ladies voice mail and she never calls back. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM THIS BANK! Never had a problem till they became Jovia from Teachers Fed.

Kadian Smith1I have been calling Jovia to make payment on my credit card account. For days I was unable to use their automatic system. When I finally got the chance to speak with someone he was not too polite but gladly took my payment of $1500 when he heard that was the amount I wanted to pay. I called back today February 27th, once again trying to make another payment of $1500 and Jennifer the rudest customer service rept I've ever dealt with refuse to take my payment because I am using a debit card. The same card they took the payment from just days ago. After asked several times to speak with a manager she finally told me their collection department will take the payment. Offcourse she puts the call on hold for over 30 minutes. I will definitely make the payment and close my account with the institution. I have a saving account and you guys don't deserve my money/business. Poor customer service!!!

Stephanie Arciere1Once the name was changed from NEFCU to Jovia there was an immediate notice in poor customer service and lack of knowledge among the employees. On one phone call after waiting for 45 minutes, I was transferred four different times and still had no resolution. The response was "I don't have an answer for you." Really? Unacceptable. I have had nothing but issues when calling their call centers and have dealt with extremely rude people. One example is trying to my address updated numerous times which three months later is still not resolved. When I call, they say it is updated but this is proven over and over again that this is not the case. I am nothing but frustrated with the poor service that has been provided since the change. I can't wait to close my accounts (which I have had for 15 years) and move to Bethpage bank which has been phenomenal. I would give zero stars if I could. What a shame.

Michael Dolan5I have been a member for over 20 years. I have always bragged to friends and family about my fantastic credit union ever since my father brought me in to open my first account. I have always felt safe and secure using my checking and savings accounts and front end customer service is always fantastic, quick and helpful. On the rare occasion I have ever been charged a fee I always felt it was fair and when it wasn't one time, they reversed it for me. I find myself visiting branches less often nowadays but love that a branch with real people is always close to my work or home. They have been there to help with debt consolidation, vehicle purchases and have been amazingly helpful through the current process of purchasing our first home. As they transform, grow and change (names) I will remain a member. *A real review from a satisfied Long Island customer.

Jme Isman5I don't know why Jovia (formerly known as NEFCU) has so many bad reviews! I have been a member for years and have received nothing but excellent customer service. There is always someone who answers the phone, who is kind, courteous and helpful and they are willing to answer any of your questions. Their services for members are great too and they are fast and efficient. So I'm leaving my positive review here, to balance the scales! I don't like the new name, but really that doesn't matter. They are still a great bank!

Devereaux Leget1I FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD every single 1 star rating from this bank. I literally sent a text message to my wife just now that we need to find a new bank. Everytime I want to check my balance, the apps dont work, the online banking doesnt work, I cant reach anyone by phone. This institution is using our dollars on whatever they spend it on and WE DO NOT REAP ANY BENEFITS. ATMs dont work, nothing works. Taking my money out as soon as I possibly can. They need major updates. The people on the other hand have been nice, and helpful, so atleast they have that going for them.

jaime Medina1This is the most horrific business i have ever dealt with in my life. I have worked at a bank for 20 years and NEVER dealt with such horrible customer service. i have a car loan through you i have been paying for over a year. Every month over the automated system. last month it told me it did not recognize my information it took me THREE days to make this payment because noone on customer service could help me and then wanted to charge me $5 !! Then i finally spoke to a half competent employee who was finally able to help me! NOW i am trying to make my payment again and it is now saying the same thing! to top this off i spent hours on hold to try and make last months payment which by the way they said they would fix my automated problem which obviously did not happen when this loan payment is over i WILL NEVER EVER use this bank again, i will also tell all my friends and family about this !!!!!

Vanessa Astuto1I’d love to give a good review but I’m having trouble and no one is helping me. When I financed my car in 2018 it was a lease buy out from Chrystler Capital. I never received my title. Jovia is insisting I add them as the lien holder. I can’t add them to what I don’t have. They are insisting that CC has to release the title with my name on it. CC says they don’t send titles directly to the customer, it goes to the financial institution. No one will help me. Can someone from Jovia please contact me?

keriann bisram1I don't know what happened to customer service when nefcu became jovia. Two hours on call waiting and still no representative. Poor customer service, poor communication ,no return phone calls regardless of multiple phone voicemails.The list goes on. When you think of a financial institution that absolutely does not care about the services they provide and does not care a AT ALL about it's customer's well being think JOVIA. Save yourself the stress and choose another.
