  Before we ever considered building a new home the first person I contacted was John Willoughby. I have known him since 1987 and he has provided excellent customer service and assistance with the purchases of all three (3) of our homes and a few refinancing as well. John is professional and very organized when it comes to this industry. The ability to get documents to him electronically and timely is optimal. He is trustworthy and he always has YOUR best interest at heart. He worked with us throughout the 9 month process of building our new home and anytime I had a question he was there with an answer.   John was extremely helpful in providing home loan assistance for my wife and I. I would recommend John to anyone looking to purchase a new home. He really had his hands full with my wife & I, as we were clueless of how the process worked when we entered his office. We purchased our first home last year and John made it happen. We first met with John several months prior to purchasing our home. He explained from A-Z on what steps we needed to take and how to take them.   I have worked with John since 1987 when, as a real estate agent, he helped me get into my first house. Since that time, he has helped with the purchase of several homes as a mortgage lender. John has always been on top of the latest financing laws and regulations. He has a keen eye for details and is quick to spot missing documents ahead of time. He anticipates issues and does what is necessary to facilitate the purchase. Our most recent purchase was not particularly large, but was somewhat complicated by a delay on the closing of an existing home as well as possible alternate financing. John was patient and diligent in his work with us and we were able to close within two days of our original date. Over the years, John has become more than a mortgage lender to us, he has become a trusted advisor. We have referred several friends and family to John who have also had good things to say about him.

  Glad I trusted these reviews! I had recently moved here from Chicago and didn’t know who to turn to for a mortgage broker, since I didn’t really know anyone. So, after reading the glowing online reviews for John, I decided to roll the dice and give him a call. Wow! Within minutes on the call John had me feeling like I was his most important client and instantly put my mind at ease. John really knows his stuff. This is the fourth house I’ve purchased in my life and I can honestly say, thanks to John, it was the easiest. My work keeps me pretty busy, so I really appreciated how he was able to handle most everything online and over a few quick phone calls. And yet, he was always ready to take as much time as I needed to walk me through something. I can not recommend him highly enough. Do yourself a favor and let John take all the worry out of this process for you.

  We cannot say enough about John! He is great at what he does and you can tell he enjoys his work. We used him when we bought our house in 2017 but a year or so later our mortgage was sold to another company (at no fault of his). I called john earlier this year and said we wanted to come back/refinance to Union Home Mortgage. He kept an eye out for a lower intrest rate and called us when one came through. I refer a lot of people to him and we will be using him in the future!

  I spoke with John on the phone for the first time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I am sure there were a lot of other things he could have done with his time, but instead he provided me -- a first-time home buyer -- with an education I could not have received in a 2-week long class. I tried to provide as much information as possible, as I wanted a straight answer as to whether I could financially afford to buy a home. Even though I thought I had provided full-disclosure, John asked questions that prompted additional information crucial to my home buying decision. In the end, I balked at making the move now, but that didn't stop John from continuing to educate me on how to get where I want to be in the near future. The education he provided is worth a million bucks, but I can't put a price on the time, patience, and kindness John offered me. We will do business together soon. And John will be the first guest I invite to my house-warming party. I highly recommend John Willoughby.

  John was incredibly helpful during our home buying process. He was extremely efficient in getting information to us as well as processed through on his end in a timely fashion. We even ran into a few hangups with the underwriter and John was willing to fight to get the underwriter to reconsider our position. Thankfully, he was successful and we are now living in our first home. I would highly recommend using John to anyone. He is extremely dedicated and amazingly helpful in explaining the process as well.
