  John was great to work with throughout the mortgage lending process and genuinely cared about getting to know my wife and I. He helped walk us through the whole lending process, answering all our questions as first time home buyers, and clearly enjoyed his role as a mortgage educator. When deciding the lender we wanted to work with, we sat down with several other mortgage officers. I'm glad we did this, as it made clear that John was the right person to work with, given his knowledge and patience. Once we decided to work with him and the Bank of Utah, everything went smoothly and professionally, and we were extremely impressed with John and his team's responsiveness. We would highly recommend considering John if you are looking for a lender in Cache Valley!

  I was very impressed with the level of service I received in getting my home loan through Bank of Utah Mortgage. I have worked with Russ and John, both of whom offer top quality service and knowledge. They have been very useful in providing me with options and helping me make the best decisions possible. On a professional level, several of my co-workers and clients have worked with these two men, and have all had very positive experiences with them.

  We had an amazing experience working with John on a loan to purchase land. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made the process almost effortless on our part. He was easy to contact and immediately responsive to our questions and requests, closing the lot on time and without issue.   My Wife & I loved working with John. Building a new home was new to us and so we didn't really know where to start with a construction loan. He was super helpful from the very beginning and was always so responsive and willing to help every step of the way. It's been such a pleasure working with him that we have had 3 or 4 other family members who have also used John and had the same experience! We'd definitely use John again, he is a stud.

  I have worked with John for more than 3 years now, and I can't say enough good things about Him. To put everything into context, someone recommended John to me when I was just looking into buying a home for the first time. The first go, I did not end up buying the home, yet John always worked with me patiently and provided all the guidance I need it when I needed it, without expecting me to make a decision to close the deal with him. Then about year later, I started the process again of buying a home and end up closing the deal. After that experience, I was even happier to have worked with John cause he made the process painless for me, who at the time had zero idea about everything that it involved. He also took the time to answer every question and explain things to me so that I could make informed decisions on everything he presented to me. Even months after we had close the deal, I kept in contact with John to ask him questions I had, and even though he had no obligation, he still answered with the same diligence as if we were in the middle of another deal, which speaks volumes of him. I have now also donde a refinancing process with him and it was a great experience too. I know usually people say your best bet is to shop around and compare rates and options, and I totally agree with that, but I also know that when you find a Loan Officer you can trust it is invaluable, so if you are shopping around and have not given John Neil a look yet, I highly recommend it and when you do, you will ask yourself how come you had not found him before. Yeah, he's that good!

  My husband and I are first time home buyers and went to John with a mountain of questions. I first met with John about a year before we actually began house hunting and John patiently answered my questions, was incredibly kind and approachable, and did not pressure me whatsoever. When my husband and I were ready to finally begin the house buying process John moved quickly, hunted for the best rates and assistance programs for us, and was very easy to get in touch with. When our offer was accepted on our new home John was able to get our mortgage approved in less than a week, helping us move up our closing date by two weeks. Thanks John!

  Where do I start?! John is AMAZING. I didn’t realize a loan officer would quickly become a great friend! He went out of his way in so many situations to make sure we were educated and set up for success. We had many unforeseen events that John happily dealt with and stepped us through. I will forever use John as my loan officer! 10000000% would recommend to anyone. :)

  John and his team were the best loan officers o could ever ask for! From day one he was honest and straightforward and very easy to communicate with. To this day I have never seen him face to face but have worked so closely with him and his team I knew everything would get buttoned up perfectly. Sure enough from day one to closing they made the process so easy I would consider using them again for a refinance.

  John is an excellent loan officer. We have used him several times for new homes and for refinancing our homes and each time exceeds the last. He is prompt with all paperwork and with contacting about any news or changes that arise and is dedicated to helping get the best interest rate possible. I highly recommend John as a loan officer!
