  They would not cash my check in robertsdale. My customer, a construction company, gave me the check minutes before, I endorsed the check as I always do, they would not cash my check even though I was in the system, the man behind the counter basically said I was guilty of taking a pic on a mobile app to cash it then bring it in to cash again. I will never use them again because he was rude And likes to assume you’re doing something wrong just because you endorse your check like you’re supposed to

  Jason, I'm sorry we were not able to cash the check you brought in on Dec. 22nd. You brought us a check that was already endorsed on the back and from a company we could not find any information on to verify. Both Banks and Check Cashers are now turning down previously signed checks because of customer's "photo depositing" checks and then trying to physically deposit the same check. Yes, that's fraud, but it's happening out there in the real world. You have been a good customer in the past, so our guy tried to find information on the maker of your check to try and cash it for you anyway. He was not able to find enough information on the internet to get a phone number and verify. Our guy is a new employee and, perhaps, with more time and experience, he would have been able to find a number and verify your check. We hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future!

  Knowledgeable and Friendly!!! Been using I.C. for many years and cant say enough about this place. Recommend to everyone and will continue to do so. Forget everywhere else, go straight to Island Cash

  I love Island Cash! They have been me and my husband's go to for all of our check cashing needs for years!! Dean is exceptional, and the rest of the guys are just as great!! They will never lose our business!!

  They will not cash your check even if it’s a legitable check without documentation other than an ID no one has ever did this ! He was rude and it was probably because I was an African American!!! Definitely will not be coming back I WOULD GIVE 0 stars if I could !!!!

  Briona, I have reviewed the video of your visit with us about 3:30 PM on 7/14. You were in our store for 68 Seconds. You presented a check supposedly from Paypal to be cashed. Our guy asked you if the check was from Paypal, if you had been in before (to find you in our computer) and where you worked (to better understand the source of the check). You said the check was from Paypal, was a retirement thing, that you worked from home and had changed companies you worked for. Our guy, still trying to understand and verify this check, asked you if you had any other paperwork to go with this check or knew a way to verify it. At that point, you seemed impatient, took back the check and said “It's ok, I'll just go somewhere else” and left...... 68 seconds total. At no time was anyone rude to you! I'm sorry you are upset with us, but there is so much fraud out there that no one would have cashed a check like this, for a first time customer, without verifying it through the maker or the bank it was drawn on. If this was a good check, we could have verified it for you, and cashed it, but we would need more than 68 seconds.

  Couldn't ask for better service than Island Cash. I will go back time after time. They make the process so simply and quick. And they speak English.

So many check cashing situations require taking the time and effort to "make it work" for the customer. We are fortunate to have people that really care about customer service!   Everyone I’ve dealt with is super nice! Never had any issues. I do believe the first visit they called to verify the check but that is to be expected and I didn’t have a problem with it.

  Not hassle free at all went to get my 401k check cashed and cant do it til a week day cause they have to verify the government check. Very inconvenient!!!!

  We cash thousands of checks a month successfully for our customers. In this situation, you were a first time customer bringing in a large check on a Saturday when the maker of the check was closed. ....so we were unable to verify the check. I'm sure no one else was able to cash that check for you that day! Even though we were unable to help you that day, I hope we treated you with the courtesy and respect you deserve and explained why we had to wait until we could verify on Monday.

  Their sign lies and so do they....says personal checks cash but so not true.

  Kim, I appreciate your right to comment ......but let's look at the facts. We cash 1000 + personal checks a month quite successfully. You came in yesterday (YOUR FIRST TIME IN), with a $500 hand written personal check from OUT OF STATE .......written on an OUT OF STATE BANK THAT WILL NOT VERIFY FUNDS for anyone. No one in Baldwin County would have cashed this check without being able to verify anything..... because there are severe check fraud problems out there. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try and help you.
