      I have banked here since 2002 and have had a FANTASTIC experience. The level of customer service has always been superior to any other bank I've done business with. One shout out to Ralph Ramsey. When I paid off my home mortgage I was running late on a Friday afternoon and couldn't make it before the lobby closed to get a cashier's check. Ralph made sure I was able to get the cashier's check (no charge) even after hours. Ralph Rocks! Another thing that is super handy is the pass through box. I deal with a lot of coin and the drive through tube can't always accommodate the weight. They gave me a key to a pass though box where I can make deposits without coming inside. If you are a small business or individual I highly recommend this bank. They are willing to go above and beyond to earn your business.

      Been banking here for I guess around six years...here 's the meat and taters of my experiences: The Good: - Website is pretty good, I like it, same goes for the phone app. - There are several locations throughout the DFW area. - Card fraud detection services are good and stay on top of things the Not so Good: - Once queried about a personal loan, and couldn't get a loan officer to call me back. Wells Fargo on the other hand was very accommodating. - Drive through is very impersonal with old computer monitors, and the tenants arent especially friendly. - Got into an overdraft situation (once in 6 years), account officer "couldnt" (wouldnt) reverse any charges - however the corporate office "could" (did) reverse 1. - Bank NEVER has deposit slips in the drive through...so you have to ask for them, which is very inconvenient. So: "Independent bank" often times is "Inconvenient Bank" - Most of their checking/savings options will cost you money. Ive been banking here long enough to know there are probably better options out there...but Im getting old, lazy, and dread changing accounts and having to re-enroll all of my electronic deposit and payment accounts. I feel like the bank knows this, and takes its liberties accordingly.

      Sorry to say this bank was sold out and we have another big cooperate bank not the small people anymore who care!! You now have charges for your checking account also have a safety deposit box back from when it came with the account .Now 30.00 dollars each year.!!!!... Trying to close it and I now live 8 hrs away and they will not send paper for me to sign and allow me to send keys back.(And never did I have anything in this box) You have to come into the bank to sign papers( So I will no longer be charged the 30.00 a year.) REALLY!!!!!!!!!!

      Your website says you're open at 8am. But you don't open until 9am. Difficult for a new person to your bank and to the area to understand what's right.

      Text alert system for transactions is terrible-right out of 1999, previous was great. Will be closing account after 15 years.

      It is okay... The ATM behaved as if to have a skimmer once. It tried to eat my card, leaving my personal details on screen. I had to call the bank.

      Worst bank I have reversed used. They couldn’t put money in the right account over and over again. I am glad that I switched banks.

      I have been a customer of this Bank for 20 years but now that they have changed it from Northstar Bank to Independent Bank I am extremely displeased so after the first of the year I will be closing my account
