Ken Wojdon1Was with Howard Bank for years and they just got bought by FNB. Conversion was this weekend. Online banking service unavailable. New debit card was rejected by their new ATM. Wait times for help over the phone exceed 45 minutes. Total conversion disaster.

Jackie1No notice given for changes.,I can’t get to my account. I also tried to use my bank card at bingo and I was declined and I’m very upset over that. yes it is a gambling center but who are you to tell me I can’t use my money to play bingo.. Curtis is not an asset & your bank can be sued .

Heather O.2I have been with this bank for a long time, and when they they were 1st Mariner. I really miss the 1st Mariner bank days. I was assured that when they merged with Howard, nothing would change, and it would still be the same community bank that I loved. Although there are many employees that I love, the bank itself is greedy and acts more like a cooperate bank now, and is no longer that community bank that I loved. . In the middle of a pandemic they start charging a $10 fee to have a checking account with them. If you enroll in statements, and always have $200 in your account then you won't be charged to have the account. That is not always possible...The bank location is horrible. no parking, and forget it if your trying to just use the ATM.. you have to wait in the same line as the people seeing the teller. And now I see they are merging yet again, with 1st national bank. As much as i love a lot of the employees, Think it's time to fins another bank

JoAnna Mason2I have been with 1st Mariner Bank since 2006, when My mom & I moved here to Middle River, Md. Our Favorite employee was Brian. All the Employees were Wonderful though. I loved my free checking. And if I ever had a question or an issue or any problem that needed solving Brian Always fixed it.The saddest thing is when They closed the Carroll Island location. But I'm grateful they kept the same Employees. I stayed with them even though it was far from my home & a inconvenience. But the employees I knew & trusted. Iam changing banks now, very soon due to the $7.00 fee I cannot afford monthly or keep a impossible amount of $200.00 daily. Plus Now I hear Brian the Best Employee they ever had passed away on Sept.11th, 2021. The other Employees are great but I favored him. I just cannot afford the new charges, it's just not right after all the years I have been a customer. Not everyone can afford this fee.

Alan G2I'm giving two stars because I have moved out of state and have wanted to do an address change. I also have accounts with TD Bank. The address change with TD was handled over the phone with security questions. Howard wants me to jump through a bunch of hoops to accomplish the same thing. If I was there it would probably be easier. I have called the white marsh branch numerous times and they NEVER return the call even if you leave a very detailed message. The one employee I know, Brian, would probably help me out and make this an easy transaction but as it stands I should probably close the accounts and take the rest of my money to TD Bank.

Xysha Montre2The branch employees themselves are nice. My issue is the actual bank, primarily, inability to due cash atm deposits. That seems very antiquated. Having to go through the drive through for everything seems to take FOREVER. A HUGE inconvenience and nuisance to sit in what feels like a line to nowhere for something that should possible at an ATM. Also, although you can get notifications for transactions, a great deal of banks allow you to see the transaction amount and establishment. This is extremely helpful in being able to pinpoint fraud immediately. Its a great hassle to move direct withdrawals, bills etc. So, for the time, I'm still banking with them

Chad Thomas1Calling about my bank card, no one answers the phone. Just stuck listening to a recording indefinitely. Time to find a new bank.

Rhea M (iya)5Had a great experience in opening my first business account today! because I really don't know how to start but Kourtney was very patient on the phone and in person. She was thorough about the process and help me out on questions in the form that I wasn't sure about. She was ahh-mazing! Thank you so much and looking forward doing more business with you.

Rich Bennett1Started with them when it was 1st Mariner and have been with them for 20 years. Had a problem where PayPal was trying to take money out of my account there and not my other bank, which I finally got resolved with PayPal. However, I called the Corporate Office of Howard Bank to get the charges resolved and they told me to call the White Marsh Branch, I called several times and never got an answer, left voicemails and even used the online contact form. After 3 weeks of trying, I was finally able to talk to someone. During those 3 weeks, more charges were being added on. Now they want me to pay several hundred dollars in fees or the account will be closed. I guess they don't care about losing a long time customer.
