  We just resently closed on our 1st home and even though it was a lengthy process Jim's office was very patient and holding our hands from beginning to end. People don't realize how much work and effort goes into buying a home until it's actually happening. I am thankful that we decided to work with Bay Equity because they managed to make this bumpy road a bit smoother and much easier to walk. I'd like to say Thank you to the whole team for all the help and support.

  Jim and his team were absolutely amazing during my home purchase. This was my first time buying a home and I could not imagine going through the process with anyone else. Jim responds almost immediately and his professionalism is quite impressive. Jim walked me through the entire lending process, answered my many questions, and worked tirelessly with my purchase. We had some tight timelines and Jim and his team rose to the occasion. I would recommend Jim to any of my family and friends that were in need of a lender.

  We live in Illinois and needed a mortgage on a 2nd home in Florida. Jim and staff @ Bay Equity were EXCELLENT in their knowledge of Florida real estate, mortgages and regulations. The mortgage process went smooth as can be. Anytime we had a question they were quick to respond with an answer we could understand. I will forever recommend Jim to anyone in need of a mortgage.   Jim and everyone at APM were absolutely awesome. My family and I just bought our first home a few months ago, and everyone we talked to told us to prepare for the worst in going through the mortgage process. However, I can honestly say that Jim and his team really made the whole thing quite easy. They managed every piece of the process flawlessly, and we were able to get the home we wanted at the right time and the right price with no hiccups. I would absolutely recommend everyone I know to get their mortgage done with Jim.

  I don't typically rate anyone with 5 stars. However, with regard to my experience working with Jim Strachan, I don't hesitate to sing his praises. I worked with Jim to acquire my first mortgage on my current house in 2013 and the process when through without a glitch. Several of my colleagues were purchasing houses at that time and shared horror stories with me regarding their process, while mine sailed through and was done in 4 weeks. In late 2015, Jim reached out to me to encourage me to review my mortgage and see if there may be a benefit for me to refinance. In fact there was and so again, Jim helped usher me through the process and I was refinanced in a little more than 4 weeks. All in all, I would highly recommend Jim to anyone.   I was referred to Jim and his team at Bay Equity by my realtor (so thankful for that referral). I hit them with a double whammy; very little knowledge about the home buying process AND I was a first time home buyer!!! That didn't make a difference to Jim. He walked me through every step and his assistant (Christa) explained everything to me as we went. They got to know me, my situation, what I needed, and treated me like a human being, rather than another statistic. I ran into quite a few obstacles the prevented me from getting my loan and I found myself doing everything within my power to make this happen. I also felt very supported because Jim was doing the same and putting in hours on my behalf to find a way to make it happen. I was regretfully informed that it wasn't going to happen, I would have to try again in a few months (which meant losing the home that I wanted), and even received a letter of denial in the mail. It was out of my hands at that point and I the same day I was going to throw in the towel, Jim sent me an email saying there was a possible restructure for my loan. He had found a way to get me my loan. He personally called me the day everything was finalized and told me that I was officially a home owner and my furbaby (my puppy) and I would have a new home!!! I closed on my first home last week. I can't thank Jim and his team enough for what they were able to do for me :) I am beyond thankful for everything Jim did for me and all the ways in which he went above and beyond, instead of just giving up on me and my complicated financial situation. I would recommend Jim and his team to anyone.

  Jim Strachan at American Portfolio Mortgage is one of the best mortgage providers that I have ever worked with.
