      Absolutely the laziest, most incompetent group of people I've ever dealt with. My closing attorney spent over a week trying to get a payoff statement from this company and couldn't get anything. I called the company (as their customer) and was told it would take over 7 days to get the statement. This company has delayed the closing of the sale of my home which, in turn, delays the closing of the purchase of the new home. No apologies offered. Nothing. Just complete incompetence and a lack of concern for their customers.

      They sold my mortgage to another holder in the middle of me trying to rebuild after a fire. After the loss, Home Point tried to purchase an insurance policy on a structure that was gone. I have 120k that neither company can tell me where it is. I only wish I could give zero stars.

      I have read the previous ratings and couldn't agree more. I have had repeated promises of sending a complete payment history due to a discrepancy of posting payments to my account. This has been going on since January and it is now May. I requested a payoff quote and it is incorrect as the last payment made was not considered in the payoff quote. I am so frustrated but happy I am able to refinance with a company that will not sell my mortgage. That's how HomePoint has my business in the first place. I have experienced both good and bad customer service attitudes but terrible customer service in that nothing that was promised has happened.

      This is a company of criminals. Their recordkeeping is trash, my two-year-old cousin could do better. I changed my address and they are continuously sending information to the wrong address and holding me accountable for their mistake. They have somehow added $12,000 into my loan that wasn’t there three weeks ago. Now that I have a closing date though magically it is showing up. They are extremely rude on the phone. Avoid at all costs

      This group is horrible. I am in process of refinancing, selected Filo Mortgage who in turn decided to go with Home Point. Painfully slow, ridiculous request of documentation, the most frustrating and onerous experience ever in my loan securing process.

      Absolutely the worst company. I am a real estate paralegal and work with many different lenders all the time. Everyone I have talked to gives me a different story and I have been requesting a payoff for over a week now. I was given the wrong information on how to request a payoff several times. Yesterday, I called 12 times trying to speak to a real person and the automated system kept hanging up on me! Finally, I spoke to a real person and she said her manager Robbie would help me expedite the process and then today, Robbie REFUSED to speak with me and apparently told whoever was speaking with me that she didn't speak with me yesterday and would not today and would not expedite my request.

      I am 2 days shy of SEVEN WEEKS in underwriting with Home Point who doesn't know how to deal with a 1031 exchange. We were set to close tomorrow and they are asking for an amendment that would null my reverse 1031 and cost me $50K in taxes. Shame on our underwriter Kelly Anthony (MI office) and her boss Patricia Clark (FL office) for being unavailable by phone or email to make this right. Your error has already cost me $6K and now we risk running out of time on our 1031 which will cost us another $50K. We are not rich businesspeople, we are homeowners trying to pay off debt in a wise way and this is a catastrophic blow.

      If I could give this company zero stars right now I would! I have been dealing with this extremely frustrating situation related to my account and everyone wants to point fingers at everyone else instead of helping me fix the problem that the ONE person that cannot be blamed for any of this is ME! I am beyond frustrated that I have spent so many hours on the phone trying to fix this situation and have spoken to so many different people who promised me they would fix it, then didn't, were rude to me and told me it couldn't be fixed and now a manager who told me to be patient with him and trust that he will get it taken care of, which I am having a very difficult time trusting anyone at this point! As I told the manager today, can you imagine if the roles were reversed and I owed this company over $2,000?!? I would be getting a phone call every day, there would be interest added and it would ruin my credit. All I can do is keep my fingers crossed but certainly won't be holding my breath!       Worst company ever. Local veteran family are still living in a camper after Hurricane Florence. It’s been a YEAR! Insurance company gave the money to Home Point and they have still not released the funds to this family. They have had to contact the attorney general, now a local TV station has gotten involved. RUN from these people.

      The loan team has created several delays resulting in additional costs. We were told at 11:25 pm to sign a document (that was not attached) before 12:00am. Because of the late hour and no document, we had to incur a four day closing delay. Could not move in as scheduled. Also, bank sent survey back for extra work. Ended up doubling our survey fee to $1,050!
