      We have purchased our home loan and now an rv loan through Highmark and have had an excellent experience both times. I submitted our rv application yesterday and it was completed next business day. Crystal was easy to work with and make this process extremely simple. We wanted to go through a local bank when financing our camper and are so pleased it went so seamlessly. You won't be disappointed with Highmark!

      What a great experience today! I went into the credit union to deposit some checks and met with Dallerie and Lauren in Spearfish and they switched my accounts over to a special program and am now earning 3% on the funds in my checking account and 1% on my savings! So fun and knowledgeable! Thanks for the great experience and helping me make some money 💴

      Had to look up the phone number to get a certified check and saw all the poor reviews, so I though I would leave one sharing my families experience. We have been banking with Highmark for 24 years (wife a lot longer). When we built our first house they financed the build and worked hand in hand to help to get everything closed, including expanding the loan due to cost over-runs. We have done several loans through them without any issues, hidden fees ect that I have read about below, including personal short-term loans and borrowing against assets. We have been in New York for 10 years and have had little to no issues using them as our primary bank. They are quick to resolve any issues we have over the phone and have always followed up with us. They are a smaller credit union, which comes with better personal attention based on our experience but less on-line sophistication. It works well enough we have not lived in-state for 10 years and used them as our bank all that time quite successfully. We would not have gotten the same level of service from a larger bank or credit union ( I used to be with the Boeing Employee Credit Union for comparison).

      Getting them to finish a mortgage was a nightmare almost four months to refinance. Don’t bother carrying insurance they took my check for hail damage didn’t give me a receipt and told me if I bring in a receipt that matches the insurance estimate they will reimburse me. I don’t have the 36000 plus depreciation to pay for the damage to get fixed I’ve never banked with anyone who would not give a percentage of an insurance check so you could do the work. I suppose they will keep the money and I will have to let my homeleak with no windows. I’m very angry I pay for insurance to fix my home not to give it away.

      Hello Ms. Dudash, so sorry you have been struggling to get the hail damage to your home repaired. It is a frustrating and time consuming process, and it seems to take forever to get that insurance check. I understand you presented your check to us yesterday and were expecting to cash it out. Our credit union's policy and procedure for this (given that you have a mortgage with us) requires that we place those funds in your account on hold until you are given an invoice for the materials or can show receipts for having repaired the home. This is standard policy for financial institutions. You certainly do not need to pay out of pocket for the repairs, but we do require an invoice showing the costs of the materials you will be purchasing and then we can release those funds to you so they are yours to use. The amount above and beyond the materials will be returned to you after the repairs have been made. Please let us know if we can help you with this process. Know that your monies are safe in your account and are available to use for the repairs as soon as you are ready to begin. Thank you.

      Mortgage department was extremely unorganized and displayed a huge lack of communication. They did not lock in our interest rate the day we signed papers, then a week before closing, they told us we needed to bring an extra $5,000 to closing. They never explained why we needed $5,000, they simply sent us an email saying we needed $5,000 more at closing without an explination why. When confronted about the issue, they acted like they did nothing wrong. If you can afford to possibly lose your home loan a week before closing or pay an extra $5,000 at closing, then this bank is right for you. If you would prefer a loan department with better communication skills and who take pride in their work, I would choose a different bank to trust with your investment.

      Our loan officer was amazing and really was instrumental throughout the whole homebuying process. She was always available to answer questions and was always helpful in ensuring that my wife and I had everything we needed to make sure things went smooth with the underwriter and at the title company. Would definitely recommend the home loan process here!

      I've had nothing but wonderful experience at Highmark. They go out of their way to provide excellent customer service. 10/10 I would recommend Highmark to everyone. Edit: The only reason I left was because I moved. Wish they had branches everywhere as they are amazing!!

      Do not do business with this bank. I was told two months ago by Kelly Miller that he could help me out with refinancing my daughter's car if I could pay off the difference of what is owed on it and what it is worth. I called today to set up an appointment to do this and was told by McKenzie that I did not qualify for the loan. Kelly Miller outright lied to me two months ago and is now telling me he never said that. I know for a fact he did say that because I asked him straight forward if he was sure he could help and he said yes. He is just trying to cover his butt because I reported this to his supervisor and this is no way to treat a customer.
