Hawaii Law Enforcement FCU Reviews

Christine Eldridge5I’ve been a member of - Bank of Hawaii, First Hawaiian Bank, Central Pacific Bank, and this credit union. Hands down this credit union has better rates, friendlier staff, and far superior operation procedures. Every time I walk in the front remembers my name. They are kind and patient with my children and have played such a great supporting role in teaching my kiddos about saving money. The waiting area has a giant game cube for little ones to occupy their hands and seats for the bigger ones. Without a doubt if rates and comistimer service are important to you this should be a credit union you check out. Only cons I can think of is the qualifications to join, and that they don’t have as many branches around island as th Bank. For me that trade off is more than acceptable.

Sam Walters1I would be very reluctant to trust this place with my money. The management blatantly lied to me. I went there to get a document notarized that was in Greek. The lady wasn't sure if she was allowed to do it, do she asked her supervisor, who said she was not. I went and asked the supervisor if there is a specific state law that prohibits her from signing it. She looked away and said yes, there was. I asked to more times just to clarify that I meant an actual law that all notaries have to follow, or if it was just her. She assured me that there was a Hawaii State Law that wouldn't allow her to sign it. I just got off the phone with the office of the attorney general. There is indeed no such regulation, but rather a "rule of thumb" that is left up to the discretion of the notary. I would rather she had just told me she was uncomfortable with it.
