  As pawn shops go, this place is excellent. The staff / family that run this business are well organized and professional. I have purchased and pawned a few items at Hat City over the past couple of years and would use them again in the future.

  As a musician, guitarist (or other instrumentalist), or collector (autographed items, collectible albums, etc.), one can get very selective about where to buy things but especially so when it comes to pawn shops. You want to know the items you're buying don't just feel like used items but feel like artifacts that have a history that adds value: from the manufacturing history to the type of care the item has recieved. This is where Hat City Pawn stands out: they keep an unusually high product standard and the customer service is as professional as the scrutiny they invest in the merchandise they are willing to market and sell at their store. All of this applies to much more than musical instruments and other music related items. Hat City Pawn goes out of its way to deliver much more than your average pawn shop will, but, most importantly, their customer service is right on par with the best music stores and best merchants that sell all new stock. If you're looking to find a product that might be found in a store that only sells new items, Hat City Pawn is the place to start your sojourn so you can gauge market price, quality, appreciation and depreciation, and value right off the bat before making a final decision. You'll most likely make a purchase here off the bat or come back after looking around because their stock is all in near mint and excellent condition.

  Hat city pawn is a excellent shop to go to, the staff are very knowledgeable about all of the items that come in; very respectful and reasonable in price. I have been a loyal customer here for some time and recommend this shop to anyone who wants a reputable team and business.

  Andy, the manager at the Danbury location, has been very helpful on several visits. If I cannot find what I want to purchase, he is helpful in recommending places that I can find a better deal. I also have gone through this store for firearm transfers and they are definitely less expensive than other local ffls. The customer service alone is a reason to stop in.

  Great customer service around. pawn shops in waterbury can treat you a little rough, but here they treat you very kind. plus they pay out more than the wbury shops. Andy and Bill are great guys. they got a good selection on stereo equipment and tv's so come here before you spend a bunch on some new stuff you dont need

  We went in to get a loan for a $5,000 (it has been appraised) diamond ring, the brunette dude behind the counter insinuated that it wasn't worth much money at all. It has been professionally appraised for insurance purposes. I wanted a small loan to pay off next week. When I told the man I knew a lot about jewelry and that it was worth quite a bit, he became annoyed with me and told me it wasn't worth his while to loan me anything much for the ring at all. He was very rude and doesn't like to be questioned, even politely about what he says.

  The hat city stores are extremely clean , well organized. They will provide you with the highest rates for your items. The service is fantastic as well they also have excellent merchandise. I highly recommend them to all. In all of CT I can honestly say they are truly the best shops around...

  Like being burned ? Want to watch people laugh as they empty your pockets? You've be warned. Hell awaits these thieves. But it won't be soon enough.They can ask friends/to post higher reviews , but it won't change the truth , enough said. Burn factors are high here.
