  One of the best credit unions to belong to in this area if you are eligible. GCEFCU is one of the rare credit unions to belong to nowadays as it is fairly exclusive to school district, college, and educational employers, as well as family members of CU employees(which is how I got my account). The Pasadena branch is the largest(and Main Branch), but is also in my opinion, the best one I've been to. The tellers, customer service reps, and loan officers are always extremely nice, and in the case of the loan officers, are very plain with you, but willing to go above and beyond for you if they see you are making an effort to be responsible. I've also been to the League City branch, which had a couple issues in previous years, but has since improved.

  I love this credit union it came highly recommended from my coworkers. I have been with them for 3 years. They refinanced my car loan and we just moved into our first home with a loan from GCFECU.

  We have used this credit union now for many years, while it is not our main bank. It was the closest one to us for several years so it was used out of convenience. I reached out to them about a fee that was charged to our account. I've worked at a bank so I understand how fees and payments are charged. Whoever wrote back to me in the message was rude and frankly shouldn't be in charge of writing back to customers. I get that I'm not an important customer there because I don't keep my primary accounts there, but that is not how your employees should treat customers. Unless that's what you're going for, just money not relationships. I'll be closing mine and my spouses accounts there, my other credit union is closer now and have exceptional customer service!

  I LOVE GCEFCU They are always helpful.Every employee goes above and beyond to help members.Always friendly..My husband became a believer a few years ago as he was "someplace else"....like there is any place better than MY credit union!! Yall are amazing !!

  I have only been a member for a little over a year! I am a SPED Teacher and a disabled Veteran, I love the early pay benefits. ALL of the employees at the West Pearland location are so awesome, i love Going there. So helpful and so nice and kind. However I was recently disappointed of how the Pasesena location treated my mom that applied as a co borrower on my personal loan application. She was discriminated against because of her job (takes care of individuals with special needs) and was falsely accused of being a criminal. Fully qualified for the loan and Ms Mirena was biased towards my mom from day one of the loan. And furthermore to have denied her without giving her a equal opportunity but labeled her was heartbreaking. I hope this manner can be addressed after reading the other reviews on this location it seems I’m not the only one unhappy, discrimination is unlawful.

  had A big issue yesterday in regards to being charged a late fee from a teller putting my money into my checking rather than a payment towards my loan. I received a call early this morning with no hassle and the error was corrected. Thank you GCE for staying on top of it and correcting the matter.

  The best bank in Houston! I've been banking with GCEFCU for 7 years now and I've never had an issue. My interest rates are fabulous and their security measures taken for fraud ect are great! I attempted to bank with Chase once and quickly learned how amazing this bank really is.
