  Jason and the whole "Hassell-free" team has been awesome! They are so helpful, they explain those whole mortgage process really clearly, and (best of all) they answered all of my clarifying and re-clarifying questions quickly and without being annoyed at my persistence. Haha. I definitely recommend working with these team of mortgage experts on your home purchase!

  I had interest in purchasing a home and was directed to get assistance with Guild Mortgage Company. I explained to Jason I wasn’t yet ready to go through with the process because I wanted to work on my credit score and still am in an apartment with a lease. He asked my what my score was and agreed we should work on it and still needed time. Despite this, he ran a full credit score on me, without my true authorization, knocking my score down and putting a hard inquiry on it. He seems like a nice guy, but just unethical in the sense of explaining to customers the process and what their goals are and how to truly execute it.

  Had the opportunity to work with Jason on my new home loan and the whole process was flawless! I was on a tight timeline to close and he got it done in less than a month, not to mention I was out of the country for part of it and he kept everything moving forward. Jason was very friendly and knowledgeable and kept great communication with my realtor and I. I highly recommend working with Jason Hassell and the Guild team!

  DO NOT LET THEM SET YOU UP WITH A SECOND MORTGAGE FOR THE DOWN PAYMENT. I was told my 700+ credit score was too low to be able to have the special assistance with the down payment. Because of this they set me up with a second mortgage to cover the down payment for my mortgage. I was then informed that we are asked not to refinance for six months. We followed through. Looked into refinancing and I was told that we cannot until we PAY OFF THE SECOND MORTGAGE (10,000 dollars). So now I am stuck in the mortgage until I can pay off the balance. It is legal and fine (I signed the paperwork) They were great to work with and professional. They did the rest of their job well. BUT DON'T BE THE NEXT GUY WHO CAN'T REFINANCE.

  I would highly recommend staying away from them. I have refinanced a few times with them over the years and each time they sold the loan before the first payment was due. It was fine as they ended up with big name banks that service loans well. I refinanced in June and they resold it to a company called LoanCare which is a terrible one star servicer. I am likely going to have to eat the cost of refinancing to get away from this company,
