  Members for life. Rebecca Gomez at this branch came highly recommended from a friend. We reached out to her and were quickly approved for a set amount. During the weekend my wife and I shopped for a new truck. Rebecca even reached out during the weekend to see how it was going and if we had any questions. Monday morning Rebecca had all the paperwork done and we had the keys to our new truck by 11:00 am that morning. The process was efficient and couldn’t of been easier. Meanwhile, all of this was done completely over the phone and computer. This is our 5th new/newish car purchase, and this by far was the most stress free and pleasant experience, all while getting a GREAT interest rate. Thank you GTE!

  This use to be a really good bank. Unprofessional employees make this bank look bad. It took 45 minutes to get an advocate to help me with a bank deposit. I also came across a situation and GTE was not willing to help me with payment options for my credit card. I will take my business elsewhere since this company has a bunch of robots working for them.

  I have been a loyal member since 1998 but I am in the process of leaving. Once upon a time you could walk up/drive thru and speak with a teller face-to-face. No more. GTE decided it was a good idea to remove in store tellers and replace them with machines. The drive thru was removed, so you must use the ATM or go inside. This makes it very difficult for disabled people. I have pain and trouble walking. Standing in line for one of the 3 machines (usually 2, because one is broken) is very time consuming. The volume on the machine is extremely loud, so everyone hears your business. There is an option to pick up a phone receiver and speak to the operator. Last time I looked, it was greasy and dirty, NO WAY am I letting that touch my ear or face. The only great loan officer (shannon) no longer works at this location. You are stuck dealing with Rodney or the branch manager. If you have an issue, they say they will call you back but don't hold your breath.. This place is no longer belongs to the members as they say, it's turning into a nightmare to get anything done. So long GTE, we had a great run of 18 years but I'm moving on and not looking back!

  Couple months ago made a wire transfer where the guy literally was asleep while we filled the paperwork out. Heading bobbing and even snoring a little. Incredibly unprofessional. I was going to let it go but now a friend got a debit card from them and they messed up the number and her name. This wouldn't be a problem but they are charging her for this error! She called and ended up getting told to call member services to prevent the charge and then they said to call someone else. GTE in general is terrible with guest services and treating their customers right. Do yourself a favor and go into Wellsfargo, when we went there we were helped immediately and they were efficient yet friendly.

  Every branch replaced their live tellers with machines. Not sure to why we even bother to go inside the branch any more. The line doesn't seems to move and machines always been problematic. I even called to them help me because I over looked my account. So the lady told me they only allow to had one time courtesy fee removal of the LIFE of the account...really? She was hard as a brick!

  This has to be one of the worse banks in Tampa! They give cheap debit cards that don't last 6 months and then they want to charge you $10 for a new card! I just called for a replacement instead of giving me a new card with the same 16 numbers like I asked(it's been done before) and changing the exp date and cvv code they change my whole card and tell me there is nothing they can do! So now all my auto debits will not go through! Manager says nothing they can do but she will forward the call to that associates manager. Yea like that's going to do me any good! I really hate this bank. It's time to get a new one!

  They are a good bank for "extra features" when compared to BOA or other massive chain banks. But the one feature you need most is a person to do the day-to-day activities you cannot do online. I *loath* the twenty-minute minimum wait when I'm there in a prime time situation. I shouldn't have to schedule my entire day around getting to the bank right when they open or five minutes before the close. I'm not that much of a douche, but they force me to be so.
