  I closed my account over a year ago and have recently been notified that I am in collections. Went to investigate and they reopened my account with out permission. No contact nothing just charged it for over a 6 month period. Horrible customer service, banker got an attitude and refused to release papers on my own account. 1 star is truly generous

  I have been banking with them for over 20 years. It started out fine but recently i have noticed a HUGE downhill spiral. Particularly in their customer service and fees. I feel like now i am being charged for everything. I called today to ask about an NSF fee on my account. An account that showed had money in to cover the transaction. The customer service representative (Margret) that i talked to continued to talk fast and talk over me throwing numbers at me and not listening. She talked down to me like i was a child and told me that i needed to "keep track of my money". He manager (Anthony) was scoffing at me when he got on the phone. They were both completely disrespectful.Im leaving and taking my money and my business somewhere else. This is ridiculous.

  I have been with this credit union for a long time. I have not had any problems with them but then again I don't go into the branches much. I mostly use the Debit card and make my deposits at their Atm machines.

  We removed our money from our credit union because going there was not a great experience. The service we've received from behind the teller counter has been inconsistent and very disappointing overall. The branch manager was very helpful the one time I had to go to him for assistance. My children will be putting their money back in a regular FDIC bank account.

  Edit: After seeing ANOTHER round of new faces + attempting to visit the Lobby twice this month and encountering an hour+ wait (two tellers one day...on the 3rd!!!! and a solo teller another day because of "issues") this is genuinely, from a customer service perspective, the poorest financial institution I've ever seen. They don't even have a "maze" in the Lobby to organize those waiting in line. It is a helter, skelter snake blocking the doors and invading on the waiting area. Original 2 Star Review: I'd prefer to give this financial institution one star but overall the tellers have always been friendly. No matter what time of day you go inside to do business, your wait is often 20 minutes plus. Less than that you should be thankful. This is based on my experiences of over two dozen visits to this location since May on various days, at various times. I'm not certain what type of management or training challenges the institution may be undergoing but there has been a fair amount of turnover since May. I strongly suggest choosing a different location to do business at and hoping the service/experience is better.

  I was a proud member of this credit union for over two years. They really set me back on orchestrating my car loans multiple times, which I tolerated, but what I couldn't tolerate is the 25 cent charge per debit. They do this so they can charge the small business owner more money for credit purchases! This ultimately forces you to stop using debit! I closed my account immediately.

  Terrible customer service, impossible to deposit multiple checks at once, impossible to get a human who either can or is willing to help you. Stay away from GTE!
