Great Western Bank Reviews

Talena Stanley1Awful- my debit card was fraudulently used numerous times, in a couple of days, in two different cities (Vegas and Los Angeles), after getting skimmed and remade. The bank did not red flag these weird and numerous purchases (I did). These purchases were totaling over $5,000. After I alerted the bank and told them that these purchases were clearly not me (I live in Denver and was also making my own purchases in Denver, during the same days that the fraudulent charges were being made in two other cities), I was treated like I was the perpetrator of this horrific crime...not the victim. The bank made me feel even worse than it was to be violated as a victim. I was appalled at the bank and even told them how much I felt further violated by them. This incident was eventually taken care of by the bank (as they truly realized the charges were indeed fraudulent), but this was only one experience (of many) that were just absolutely frustrating with this bank. Worst customer service ever- the attitudes that are given, especially when they need to do their jobs above what the average daily duties are, were downright rude and unprofessional. I spent countless hours dealing with them, and most frustrating of all is that many of those hours were unnecessary and negative. Don't waste your time with this bank- you can definitely find another bank that will make your life easier...not more difficult.

P Hudson5I've banked with G.W bank for years, very personable & friendly bank. I stay with them because the bigger banks have no personal relationships with their customers anymore and generally don't know who you are when you call them for help.

Tim Truong1I endorsed a $100 check to a friend who banks here and they wouldn't let him cash it. K had to go there in person in order for them to cash the check. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. They told me they don't cash third party checks. I'm glad when I read the reviews I already saw a one star rating for this bank.
