if i could rate them zero stars I would. I have had the worst ever had with any bank or any financial institution. in the 2 years I've banked there I can't recall one single positive experience with them. I moved from the midwest to Nevada 6 months ago and I should have closed my account when I moved because I now live 320 miles from the nearest branch and have to wait until over the holidays to close my account. but I ordered a new debit card on November 9th. when I did i was told it would take 7-10 business days. after the 10th business day, November 28th, I called the branch asking why my debit card hadn't arrived yet. I was told my card had been mailed to my previous address in oklahoma and had been returned back to sioux falls on November 18th. so after I ordered my debit card it was returned and even after 10 days nobody had bothered to call me and let me know it was sent to the wrong address or any attempt to correct it or notify. this was last Monday. the banker told me it was going to be mailed the next day to the correct address. but here we are 8 days later and still hasn't arrived.a very simple google search will show anyone that the usps says that a piece of mail from sioux falls south Dakota to Nevada will take a maximum of 7 days. but here we are 8 days later and its the holidays forthcoming and my biggest stress is wondering where my debt card is. cause who knows where it was mailed to this time, and hoping that if mailed to wrong address yet again that it gets returned and not activated by some thief and my account suddenly drained. and top of it all I was hung up on today because I called demanding answers about MY MONEY. it's the 5th time in the last month that I've had to to take a hour off of my work day to call the bank, and hold and etc, to try and resolve a pointless issue that should have NEVER happened to begin with in the first place. if you want a hassle free, stress free banking experience do not go with Great Western Bank. the best part of my Christmas back in the midwest will be closing my account with them. literally. way to much stress caused by the people whose only job is to handle my money and they have repeatedly failed even my lowest of expectations.
