  Don’t bank here. The banker at the Auburn branch deposited $7000 cash into the wrong account of someone that has the same name. Then when we went back two days later to find out why the money wasn’t showing in the account, she lied and said it was because she was denied access to the account number or social security number instead of just saying she made a mistake and put the money into the wrong person’s account. We filed a formal complaint with the branch and will be moving our money to Chase. We almost lost $7000 due to this.

  Let me start this off by saying the only reason I'm giving this review five stars is because ten stars is not an option. My long story begins with me purchasing my very first car from a dealership over the weekend. Since G1 is closed on the day I bought it, the dealership was gracious enough to allow me a "Three Days, One Pay" option to get my car financed with my chosen lienholder. That very entity being Golden 1. I've dealt with the Auburn branch for years regarding all my needs, but here is where my regular experience turned stellar. Lexi took me in a very timely manner (without a previously set appointment, mind you) and guided me through the entire process of doing a purchase loan. She took all the information I had on hand and entered it into the system; and even though I had to leave in the middle of our session, she had everything still saved so we could pick right back where we had to leave things after I got off work. Not only that, but anything Lexi did not immediately know, she triple checked with the branch manager Roberto. He was informative and very patient with both of us since the process did take until after the branch had closed. Not only did Lexi and Roberto take great care of me for the day I was there, providing me with the purchase check to send to my dealership in record timing, not only was Lexi incredibly friendly and kind, but the entire process of being there saved me over ONE THOUSAND dollars that I no longer will have to pay in interest on my car loan. Don't just bank with Golden 1. Go to the Auburn branch. It's worth the time.

  My card was stolen out of my car last night and I was having a hell of a time trying to get through the automated phone to cancel it. Brandon at the Auburn location straight up put me at ease instantly cancelled my card and printed me a new one. He then went out of his way to sign me up for a mobile service and showed me how to download a full card control app in order to better manage any activity on my card. I legit came in losing my mind and left feeling more at peace about my account than I did before the theft! Literally all the praise!!!

  Gloria helped me finalize my auto loan and went above and beyond to make sure it was quick and smooth. Her customer service and professionalism were top notch and a great representation of what personal banking should be!

  Only 2 stars because the wait here is absurd. I’ve never had a negative experience with the members who work here. In fact, everyone has been very pleasant and helpful. I’m very pleased with golden1, however, at this branch, the wait is bananas. A line out the door for 90% of the day, everyday. I’ve been waiting for about 5 minutes. As I write this, there are 16 people in line ahead of me. 6 people have showed up, seen the line, turned around, and left. With 3 windows open, it’s taking the tellers on average 6 minutes per customer. At this rate, customers can expect to be helped in 4 months. Golden1, please open another location somewhere in Auburn!

  I deposited a fairly large check {over $5k} here on a couple of occasions from a trusted 401K acct. I gave them verification paper work and everything they needed to verify it was NOT a counterfeit check but they held the check on BOTH occasions for the FULL 7 biz days even though, on both occasions, they received the funds from my 401K acct the day after the deposit. I have been a cust since 2007 but I am still treated like a potential risk cust off the street. Terrible cust service here.You cant even get the phone # of a specific branch all calls are to the corporate HQ. My wife changed our regular bank to my work credit union, wow what a difference. Steer clear of these guys.

  Unfortunately, this Golden 1 is the closest to where I live. Always a long line, understaffed all the time, and when there is a line the tellers don't really try to get people out quickly and efficiently due to side chats with customers. I get giving good customer service, but 10-15 min. side chats thus making the rest of us wait even longer.

  The wait here is RIDICULOUS!!-ESPECIALLY when after waiting for such an extended period of time you're only greeted by TERRIBLE member services!! I also find it ridiculous that in order to deal with fraudulent activity on my account I can only reach someone M-F, it's the weekend and I can't get any assistance until Monday!! #Golden1CreditUnion is a bit OVERRATED in my opinion 😯😐
