  John Donlon at Gold Coast Mortgage is the most advocacy-focused lender I have ever met. It clearly is all about the borrower and not how much money he can make by pushing particular programs. When I refer to John as an advocate, it’s not just because he has very competitive rates and responsive service. John actually advises the borrower and protects them from buying into a geographic area that may have soil or other environmental issues. It’s uncanny how he knows where so many of them are. I’ve witnessed his excellent service with buyers we have represented as Exclusive Buyer Agents. His care and responsiveness is what made me refer my son and daughter-in-law to John for their recent refinance. On his website John says, “We pledge to always work in the best interest of our clients”. In my experience, that is absolutely true!

  This company helped my husband and I tremendously while we were searching for our first home! Matt Teeter helped my husband and I for over a year while we were searching for our home and ALWAYS emailed or called me right back right away when I had any type of questions for him regarding the loan process on a certain property. Being a first time home buyer, things were very confusing to us, but Matt took his time to make sure we fully understood everything before we made any decisions! I would definitely recommend Gold Coast to anyone who is looking for a mortgage company!

  We refinanced our home with John Donlan and his associates at Goldcoast Mortgage and the process was so smooth and effortless. John kept us fully informed on the process and even came to our home to fill out all the paperwork. There was no emotional strain, everything happened as scheduled.   My husband and I are about a year out before we want to start looking at new houses. I had a consultation with Jeff and feel extremely confident in his recommendations.   My wife and I wanted to write a review regarding the REMARKABLE customer service we had received when working with GoldCoast Mortgage Service when getting ready to purchasing our home in Newburyport. This was our first time buying a home, which as we all know can be very overwhelming and stressful if not handled correctly. We were giving John’s contact information from an acquaintance of ours, which they could not speak highly enough about the wonderful experience they had receive working with his team. I reached out to John Donlon and his team about setting up a time to meet and discuss ‘what are my next steps, and where do I even start’. John was very responsive and accommodating in working with our schedules, he was willing to meet us after hours (which I think he work’s 24/7 and there is no after hours for him!). We had great dialogue which was very informative, and immediately felt very comfortable with John and GoldCoast Mortgage.   We have worked with John and the Goldcoast team on multiple refinances and purchases. John and his team represent the best the industry has to offer. They are always professional, courteous, and timely. They have a great way of educating their customers and navigating with ease the complex process of mortgage funding. They engage and listen, offering solutions based on the needs of the customer. They know when to press for the right activity on all sides of the transaction without creating friction.
